You have a lot of great insights. That said, if you're right in your hypothesis that Seattle isn't into Centers and would pass up the next Creed Humphrey (and don't regret not selecting the last one), then Pete and John deserve all the scorn they receive among the most scornful of fans.
I've not drawn a similar conclusion, which is perhaps why I'm not in the "Pete and John" must go camp. I'm in the "concerned that these guys are entrusted with our draft capital" and "hoping they'll embrace reality and, with it, the need for a true rebuild" camps.
