We did a lot of Seaside Joesing in March. Today, I continue my mission to remind you of some stories and moments we’ve shared over the last few weeks. Check out yesterday’s if you missed it, and part three will be tomorrow!

What was your favorite Seahawks moment of March?
Seahawks free agency: 2 trades, 2 cuts, and 5 new contracts that Seattle should do before Tuesday (3/14)
“Keep - WR Tyler Lockett - I’ve already written about how the Seahawks can actually afford to trade Tyler Lockett, even though it would cost them more money to do so. Now here’s why they shouldn’t.”
“One thing that Seattle could focus on next season with Adams is turning him back into a pass rusher and accepting that his role is better served in the front-seven than in the deep secondary with Diggs. Now that the Seahawks have locked in their free safety, I believe tight end (update: Seahawks re-sign Will Dissly) and running back (Rashaad Penny) are next, with my other priorities being Sidney Jones and Green.”
Seahawks free agency milestone mailbag: What questions are burning a hole in your brain? (3/14)
“I’ve written 33 posts since February 1, and 51 posts since January 1. This does NOT include the 73 newsletters that I’ve sent out through the mailchimp edition of Seaside Joe, which will be fully integrated over to substack in the next week. Folks… I’ve written over 120 articles about the Seahawks this year and it’s not even my job.”
Deshaun Watson will NOT be on the Seahawks (3/14)
And as has been my mission from day one—to please get people to stop giving credence to rumors—I will remind you of THIS report that is a whopping two days old and completely forgotten:
Seahawks rebuilding plan Phase II: The top-3 options to replace Russell Wilson at QB (3/14)
“Before you get to my top-three predictions for who the Seahawks could be looking at to be the next starting quarterback after trading Russell Wilson, let me say this one thing to you: I’m so so so so sorry.”
Tyler Linderbaum is the "Aaron Donald of offensive line" in the 2022 NFL Draft (3/15)
“If the Seahawks draft Linderbaum with the ninth overall pick, nobody will criticize it because there’s not an analyst alive who wants to look stupid by underselling how great of a football player that he has been throughout his career and giving Seattle a “C-” for the pick. But Linderbaum is not playing at one of the more coveted positions of quarterback, edge rusher, offensive tackle, cornerback, wide receiver, and arguably also inside linebacker, tight end, and guard.”
D.J. Reed leaves Seahawks for Jets (3/15)
“As sad as it is to see Reed go somewhere else to either boom or bust on his payday, keep in mind that Shaquill Griffin is making $13.3 million with the Jacksonville Jaguars on the contract he signed to leave Seattle in 2021. Griffin’s first season of play with the Jaguars would be enough to get him released, if not for the fact that his entire $11.5 million salary is guaranteed.”
Seahawks rebuilding plan: Wave 2 free agent targets for every offensive position (3/16)
“Option 2 - The Seahawks sign no quarterback of note, maybe only going for cheap QB3 options like Mike White. Not an option: Matt Ryan, Baker Mayfield.”
Seahawks sign free agent I had predicted, will meet with one who I did not (3/16)
“After writing on Wednesday morning that Seattle would be much more likely to target someone like Austin Blythe as an option for the offensive line than Andrew Norwell or Will Hernandez, the Seahawks signed Austin Blythe to a one-year, $4 million contract on Wednesday afternoon.”
Will Seahawks trade for Jared Goff on Thursday? (3/17) (Turns out: No)
“In my many years of being on either side of sports articles, I’ve come to understand that there are fans who don’t take kindly to “rosterbation” or speculative trades scenarios. For that reason, I never do them. The reason I made an exception today? Because a week ago, the Seattle Seahawks TRADED RUSSELL WILSON TO THE BRONCOS. And nobody was prepared for it, even with the writing on the wall.”
Pete Carroll has earned the right to build the Seahawks his way, and you have the right to disagree (3/17)
“For the crime of going 7-10 and agreeing to trade Russell Wilson after Russell Wilson made it known that he was interested in being traded, Pete Carroll has become a source of ridicule for that subsect of Seahawks fans who will never be happy for longer than five minutes after a win, or five seconds after scoring a touchdown.”
An elite run-blocking right tackle just hit the free agent market (3/17)
“Most likely, I expect the Seahawks to either sign Brown or Collins, if not sticking with Brandon Shell as option C.”
Which free agent players on defense fit what the Seahawks want to do next season? (3/18)
“Fans/Pete: K.J. Wright Odds: Maybe?
Depth to a SAM linebacker shouldn’t be much to think over, but I would not rule out a K.J. return at some point. He seems to talk about the Seahawks like his “home team” and it may depend on how he views his worth and how the market values him.”
From 0-17 to 17-0: Previewing the spectrum of Seahawks 2022 season outcomes (3/18)
“But I would say that most likely, the Seahawks aren’t going to get dramatically better or worse than how the roster, division, and schedule make them look right now, and that feels something like “5-12 to 7-10” to me. However, there are 14 other possibilities… not including ties.”
Seahawks release two DEs, sign one, and the Browns trade out Baker Mayfield for Deshaun Watson (3/18)
“I predicted that the Seahawks would trade Dunlap to the Steelers for Banner, but then both Dunlap and Banner were released. (Could I become right about Seattle signing Banner or the Steelers signing Dunlap?)”
How much money will Seahawks save by trading out Russell Wilson for a rookie QB contract? (3/19)
“Are quarterbacks now overrated? Overpaid? That’s a matter of opinion, but since seeing what Deshaun Watson cost the Cleveland Browns, I now believe that the Seahawks should be over-the-moon that they can set themselves up with a rookie quarterback on the roster and the payroll in the near future.”
Should Seahawks draft DE David Ojabo in 2nd round if he's there? (3/19)
“The Seahawks need pass rush help. Could they end up getting a premium edge rusher with one of those second round picks? An unfortunate non-contact injury at Michigan’s pro day on Friday may lead to a defensive end falling from a borderline top-10 projection to day two of the NFL Draft next month.”
Duane Brown talking contract with Panthers? (3/20)
“Today is “Seaside Sunday” and that means I’ll be covering a few more Seahawks-related topics for every free subscriber. Then at the end, a full seven-round Seattle Seahawks mock draft where I made all eight picks for the Seahawks, filling needs and setting the table for 2022 and 2023, that goes exclusively to ‘Regular Joes’ subscribers.”
Here's Penny! (3/20)
“My other predicted re-signings were Jones (done), Diggs (done), Everett (wrong TE, right contract value), and Green, who remains unsigned.”
Which Seahawks jersey is the "safest" purchase in 2022? (3/21)
“Lock hasn’t proven anything, yet he’s halfway to being Seattle’s starting quarterback. It would be BRAVE to buy a Drew Lock jersey. You should raise the 12th Man flag in Week 2 if you buy a Lock jersey and he starts/wins in Week 1.”
Seaside Joe!! Keep up the good work. Very entertaining.
