Seaside Seahawks Survey: What do FANS want to happen on Thursday?
If 4/20 is for getting high, then 4/28 is for getting high draft picks!
On March 27th, I did two different mock drafts and sent out a survey asking YOU what YOU thought of those two scenarios. The results: 40-percent of you liked the mock that started with Jordan Davis, and 40-percent of you preferred the one that started with Travon Walker.
Well, on Wednesday night I made my final Seattle Seahawks prediction, which is that they will stay at nine and pick Jordan Davis, a player who I think has solidified his status as a top-10 prospect, and they will not make any trades. This is contrary to most of the mock drafts that I’ve read and watched in the last 48 hours, which often have the Seahawks trading down (a move I’ve also pushed over and over again until Thursday), selecting an offensive tackle, and then trading back up into the first round for a quarterback.
I’ve created a short 2022 NFL Draft Seahawks Survey—It will take less than 3 minutes! Please this is for my FAMILY! TAKE IT AND LET’S SEE HOW SEAHAWKS FANS FEEL!
In the order of unlikelihood:
The Seahawks trading up for a QB would be the most shocking draft move in Pete Carroll’s history; I know we’re living in a time of hyperbole, but what move in his draft history goes that far against his reputation? I’ve called out Tony Pauline for what I believe to be fake news and I’m asking that we hold rumor mongers accountable for mongering in the future. If it turns out that Seattle does trade up for Desmond Ridder though then SHEESH, I’m in hiding for six whole years!!!
Trading up at any point for any player seems super unlikely
Drafting an offensive tackle would be understandable and could happen, but I don’t think the value quite matches up this year; if Russell Okung were in the 2022 class, I think the Jaguars would run to the podium for him… I don’t see a slam dunk left tackle worth a top-15 pick.
Seattle could trade down, but I wouldn’t expect it to be further than two or three spots
I assume Kayvon Thibodeaux and Sauce Gardner will be drafted in the top-five. If those two and Davis were available at nine, perhaps it would only embolden John Schneider to trade down a few spots with such a rich board. But enough of what I expect or what I want… I want to know what YOU expect and what YOU want.

I will be covering the draft LIVE tonight with Mookie Alexander. In case you missed it, we did a two-hour NFL Draft preview show on Tuesday.
I’m forever grateful for the support you’ve shown Seaside Joe this year—we’ve boomed up from 115 subscribers to 541 subscribers in less than two months. That’s all thanks to your help because as you know, I haven’t been very active on social media until recently. Give the Seaside Joe twitter account a follow for more draft coverage all weekend and reports on the players selected.
Share today’s Seaside Survey with all your Seahawks friends and I’ll share the results ASAP! Share this post and hopefully we can reach 600 FREE subscribers by next week—Seaside Joe is a daily FREE newsletter!
Thank you for everything—please tell me in the comments below what YOU want to happen on Thursday and especially what you DON’T want to happen!
4/20 is only the first day of getting especially high. 4/21, 4/22, 4/23, 4/24, 4/25, 4/26, 4/27, 4/28, 4/29 are all good days to get especially high.
I've been a Jordan Davis fan since early. A Seahawks Aaron Donald. You need a star at the centre of a 3-4 line. He's a generational talent.
