Ok... So I don't usually comment on these things, so this is a bit of a hot take and kind of a vent session to be honest....

MNF: Against The Giants

I understand this argument has merit to it... but this is where I am legitimately losing my mind over this...

Yes, I understand that the Giants offensive line is bad... But there are so many people who keep saying the Giants offensive line is the only reason, or not most of it, for how our defense played in that game... Yes, I do see that point...

But Here's The Part That Is Absolutely Driving Me Crazy...

But No One Is Looking At The "Other Side Of The Coin" Of This Situation...

We Started What Was A Completely Back Up Offensive Configuration...

We Basically Had 2 Late Round Rookies, One UDFA, A Former 6th Rounder, and Our Center Had To Slide To Left Guard At That Point...

And I Am Not Saying They Were Perfect....

But At My Point Is....

Why Do The Giants Get That Excuse....

And Yes... They Had The Ball Longer...

K9 Got A 1 TD Right At The End Of The 1st Half....

Ran Right At Their Defensive Line....

These Are The Players That They Have:

Dexter Lawrence

Leonard Williams

Kayvon Thibodeaux ( Who Murdered Jake Curhan... To Be Honest)

Rakeem Nunez-Roches

A'Shawn Robinson

Why Didn't Those Players Murder Geno When He Had The Ball....

Those Are Some Very Good Players.... And Honestly Should Have To Geno More...

Because If This Situation Would Have Happened During "The Dark Years" ( Tom Cable Era) Then What Are The Odds That Geno Even Makes It Through That Game....

But... Like... How Is That Fair...

How Is It Fair To Our Coaching And Our Playing To Dismiss This Win As A Fluke, Because A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE.

How Can The Giants Have That Excuse And No One Looks At Our Offensive Line And Thinks The Only Reason The Giants Lost This Badly Was Because Of Those Said Injuries.

Yes, You Can Say Saquon, BUT THE ARE PAYING DANIEL JONES $40 Million A Year To Be "The Guy."

So... I Just Feel Like I Am The Only Person On Earth That See's This...

Maybe not that hot of a take, but I think this offense under Waldron may be more efficient (though not as explosive) with 12 personnel (even after the tackles are healthy) or with Bobo as WR3 (and/or Dareke Young) than with JSN.

The play action has been good, and Waldron really knows how to scheme open TE blockers and in line WR blockers. That's not JSN's strength. And I love JSN and picking him, but I'm just not expecting that as soon as both tackles are back they'll jump back to heavier use of 11 or 10 personnel.

I expect JSN's streak of impact games to start with that tough stretch in November-December.

Maybe SSJ can take a look at the relative effectiveness of their different personnel groups, not just on protecting Geno with backup tackles in, but yards of separation for route runners, passing efficiency, etc. I'm curious to know if the plays Waldron draws up for 12 personnel are actually better designed (and fool defenses better) than for 11 personnel.

I firmly believe if Geno does not improve we need to see what we have in Lock he brought electricity to the offence with his athleticism . We have a slate of games coming where we need to make things happen and we better start making it happen before we get there ....Go Hawks

1) We still should have taken Bijan at #5!

2) WR at #20 was the wrong move at the time, still the wrong move now.

3) The Seahawks are currently the 4th best team in the NFC West

4) Taylor Swift is by far the best thing about this NFL season

5) Zach Wilson is going to get it together for the Jets and make the playoffs

We spend WAY too much for Jamal, Diggs and Love for what they give us. I like Prez the best, but he’s always out, especially when he leads with his head like a 3rd grader in his first football practice ever. 3rd downs will continue to haunt us all year like they have for about 15 years.

The one thing I see as an extreme positive is DW playing at the Nickel! In Pete's D for it to actually function anywhere near what they want they must have a very good nickel corner- I'm excited if DW continues to play there! It will not only help the secondary but also make the front seven allot better overall. Hopefully the offense gets off of so many horizontal plays, work the middle more and then take your shots as long as they keep the run game working. Go Hawks !!!

I am super pumped about our back 4 on defense. We don't have the speed of Earl Thomas but we definitely have the corners and strong safety play of the LOB in Riq Woolen, Devon Witherspoon, and Jamal Adams. As we saw back then, locking down receivers gives the front 7 time to get to the quarterback or make him dump it off. Just need a bit more from the LB's to be great. Now, if we could get going on offense we can really make a Super Bowl run.

Our defense and offense finish in the top 10. Walker leads all rushers in the second half. JSN finishes with 600+ yards and 50 receptions.

Can you win a game in the first quarter?!

I believe...

Here’s my hot take. The Seahawks are good now. They will be better by the end of the season as they make it to the NFC championship game, but will likely lose to the 9ers. But in the ‘24 season, fasten your chin strap because this season’s rookies will have a full season under their belt, and the class of 22 will be third year players. Just go ahead and book your tickets to the Super Bowl for Feb. 2025.

I'm perty certain Geno will stall out when playing the 49ers, thus closing the book on this season. But when I watched Lock come in and go right down the field, I saw a sure-fire way to deal with them. That said, Geno is one Game away from finding his inner tactician. I suspect he's sold himself on this being a weakness in his game and now it's a not-so simple matter of confidence. I hold the utmost respect for guys who overcome set opinions they hold for themselves and find a way to prevail. That is the definition of a hero: to know you ain't The Man, but still get up and try. The 12's truly love and believe in the guy. Every fan in the stadium is 100% believing he can do it. Feel the love, Geno. Magical things do happen.

This will be Geno’s last year. Hawks will trade up for one of the top QBs in next years draft. ( the best QB class in decades , Penix perhaps) and Lock will start as QB1 until rookie is ready.

Despite 'Spoons' great debut, still feel they should have taken Jalen Carter, and the next best cornerback still available with the 2nd 1st round pick instead of JSN. Carter is the next Aaron Donald, and game changing tackles don't appear more often than every 5 to 10 years. Great CB's can be found more often, as Pete has proven with Ric and #25 Mr. Sherman in the future hall of fame. They could have had the CB that the Steelers took at the top of round 2, who is also a difference maker, and still had Carter.

I suspect Carter is going to have issues in the long haul.

Yes, time will tell. For all we know, Witherspoon might also turn out to be a diva, hearing himself compared to Deon Sanders on national TV in his first big game! We shall all watch and see as we root for our hawks.

Sorry, my cheekiness is lost in translation. That was intended to be playful banter and not actual criticism. I think Geno has developed enough good will amongst Seahawks fans that anyone who criticizes him will be deemed a "hater" by a large chunk of the community. I am a hater in this regard, and if there's one thing I've learned from pop culture, it's that haters gonna hate.

We could use Drew Lock and get much better 3rd down and red zone results. He has always been better than general opinions of people that have not seen him play and do not know the situations he was in.
