One thing I’ve learned about carrollschneiderspeak is what it means when they are “high” on a player. It has to do with a player’s potential relative to how he came into the league. “High” on Abe Lucas--a top 100 pick--means that they think they have a strong starter who could be a Pro Bowler. “High” on Darryl Johnson--a 7th round pick who was a training camp cut--means that they think they have a solid depth piece who can be valuable in targeted use.
The classic example of this is David Moore. Because of the praise heaped on a 7th-round draft pick, many fans thought Moore was a star in the making, whereas his career was probably right along the lines Pete anticipated: A useful receiver who would play and contribute well above the expectations of the 226th pick.
The Seahawks have lost to 3 NFC south division teams. The Panthers have defeated all three of those teams. Granted, that's most of the teams they have defeated.
I agree with you that this could be considered a trap game. However I don't think the boy's will be sleeping on an NFC South team considering we have lost to the other three teams in that division. The Falcons and Saints games could have easily flipped in our favor. The Bucs pushed our defensive and offensive lines all over the park. Our runninback room maybe depleted tomorrow, let's hope not as I think K9 could take a bite out of a shaky run defense. On the other side of the ball the Panthers can run and do often. They are a better running team than the Rams but not a better passing team. Because of this Woolen should play a lot of man coverage allowing one of our safeties to commit to the run when ever possible. Force Sam Darnold to win the game for the Panthers. Darnold does have talent I'm not sure he has the receivers to throw to. Play zone on Michael Jackson's side of the field and help Coby if need be. A convincing victory is what the Dr has prescribed, so the Hawks are flying high for the 49ers game come Thursday
So this is like a big brother, little brother sort of relationship? If we kick their ass, it'll be like kicking your little brother's ass? Sadly, I don't know how that feels. I was the little brother, and my 2.5 years older brother kicked my ass every day of my life, if my memory can be trusted. Yet, the day came when I, metaphorically, kicked his ass, and that was sweet. So sweet, I felt sorry for him.
I'm a little brother too, but with a twist. I have a *sister* who is 3.5 years older than me. In addition to getting my ass kicked until age 12 or so, I'd get in trouble if I hit her back and hurt her 10% as much as she hurt me! Similarly to your story, there was that day that I clocked her and it al changed. It was no longer okay to hit her (or her hit me) and we never (physically) fought again. We have a great relationship now and it blows my mind that we scrapped so often as kids.
To memory, we lost the mere 2 regular season games to Carolina early in their existence and I was there for both (and the playoff game I was certain we were coming back to win that I spent 2K on 4 tickets for). I always think that if I ever call in to Brock and Salk I'll mention to Huard that I saw him play in that 2000 game. And I'm fairly sure he had family there because there was a group of people who were clearly together wearing his jersey but I didn't want to bother them. I remember thinking he might our QBotF at the time. Shame he played hurt and got severely injured and never had much of a career.
Sorry, I was moving some bulletpoints around and it's confusing when you get to the Brock Huard bulletpoint--that was the first game between the two teams. I have moved it back up where it belongs, sorry for the confusion. I also wrote "CArolina" earlier.
I live a little over an hour from Charlotte. I've lost track of how many Seahawks games I've caught there, but it's almost all. Nicer fans than most away games that I've attended too. Probably because it's a newer team and lots of transplants who don't have the strongest rooting interests.

Regarding the QB stats, I've been wracking my brain, but still cannot come up with what "FL" means. Must be something obvious I'm just overlooking.
Help a fella out?
Thanks!
I was guessing ‘fumbles lost’
Perhaps fumbles lost
I'll just bet that you are exactly right, Doug. Thanks!
