I'm sticking with injuries and random luck, which are almost the same thing. Things have to be so perfect to win a close game and then do it again the next week, and the week after that... But things have to go exactly right for the other teams too. The Rams are just one sore back away from missing the playoffs, for example.

Great read. Surprised more people aren't concerned about the division. I believe the nfc west all got better or will be better once they get everyone back shortly. It's gonna be a dogfight for the top spot. I think we got a real chance to win it all again but it doesn't always happen. I'm trying hard to be realistic, but it's difficult not to get excited and dream of a 14+ win season. I just want to win the division...let's focus on that. Draft to win the division, trade to win the division, just win the bloody division. And FTR!!

I'm "concerned" about the division, but not as much as injury setbacks. I think we can go toe to toe with LA even with their additions -plus those games are both late in the season when rosters are thinner. Whose to say who will be lining up for either of us? And as for the 49ers, the electrical substation is already doing its magic. That team is snakebit. Pads haven't even come on and they're already down 3 starters. The Cardinals have some pieces, but that's about the nicest thing I can say about that team. I feel sure we sweep them again for the 5th year in a row.

I agree - just look at the Niners last year. If they don't lose Bosa and Warner early in the season, there's a decent chance *they* win the division.
