AGREE , depends on DK ,BUT it should happen BEFORE the DRAFT. If WAYYY more than the HAWKS want to pay I would not mind JAGS 1st and 2nd to start in 2022 . A TUA/HILL vs LAWRENCE/DK ARMS RACE twice a year in the AFC SOUTH . WARMER than Denver or KC LOL
If you trade away all your best draft picks you end up like the Jets. DK can and should be a key piece to the rebuild and 2024 super bowl championship team.
I love DK, but I'm unconvinced that a receiver, who can be schemed into irrelevance by a competent defense, is worth what Adams and Hill have been paid. Let's see how they impact their new teams before we open the coffers for Metcalf.
I'd rather get a 1st and a couple 2nds and see what we can develop from the 2023 draft
If the Seahawks can get two decent firsts for DK, I'd suggest pulling the trigger. Or two low firsts and a second. That's a lot of draft capital. DK's a great kid; would love to see him remain. But we're in a rebuilding mode and I think value is important.
You give me too much credit Kenneth. I don't know why we're having this emergency conversation. I really don't. Miami is Miami. Some franchises never learn.
I think this might be the time to consider a baseball contract. Something like 7 years, 155M with lots guaranteed. Should be a steal by the time he's 3 years into it, assuming the cap only goes up from here on out. My thinking is that PC/JS see more value in the draft/player haul he could bring them, though. He's not nearly as proven nor productive as Hill and Adams, and I doubt the front office would want to pay him like those guys.
Just a comment on Coleman, he is a player I was very disappointed to lose. He is more than competition for Blair or Amadi, he is the best nickel. I don't know how he has played over the past two seasons, but my sense is he has been good and Pete is happy to have him.
My first thought on DK was to tag him if we can't outright sign him. I have more thoughts that I shall mull over, and then let you know . Victoria Chris
Take the draft capital and run. Move DK now. His moves show he is ready to play hardball. I look forward to seeing him ball out and get a wild contract elsewhere.
It really depends on DK. Does he want to be a Seahawk more than he wants to re-reset the market? Does respect come in $$, to his mind? Those will be the biggest determining factors on if he stays or not. He's just watched his QB force his way out, so he has a playbook, and his abilities are special enough that he would find suitors. Are the Seahawks one of them? It will be interesting to see.

Interesting pitch, Chuck!

Welcome back to Justin Coleman!

Really want to know what teams would offer for him. The Seahawks can ask for the world.

Yeah, that's the BIG question. Is DK in a hurry or not?
Trade DK now! He has peaked! I would even take only a #1 and #2!
Fascinating to see it come to this!
