I think it's a net loss if there is a drop off to the next Asst GM. If the next guy is as talented or more talented, it's likely a net win if we nail the comp picks. TBD I guess. JS has plans for these things, so not too worried. Thanks to Nolan for all of his considerable contributions to last years Super Bowl win. All the best with the Vikings.....unless we're playing them.
Im guessing Schneider has someone else in the building who is ready to step up. He’s always two steps ahead, would be nuts if he weren’t already thinking about this move and also what he’s going to do after Durden leaves next yr.
And I love getting two 3rd round picks for a back office loss — that’s more than Mafe and Walker and Cobe are going to return us
Hard to see how this isn’t a win, unless Schneider gets hit by a bus or retires. Then, it’s a huge loss akin to the Ravens letting Macdonald leave and then suddenly no Harbaugh either
Feels like things are bottom-up with our Hawks. I expect we will see us advance from within, assuming crucial personnel with the Niners or Rams doesn't want out. "Hey Fleury, let's go have some lunch. Beers on me..."-JS
Danno is right, it is a loss with the skill he has in talent evals and coordination. The thing about the Seahawks, like other team that stay competitive year in and year out, even with front office and coaching losses, is the organization itself. I think Schneider makes it a point to have people trained up while the personnel are in place as a proactive style of management. Being successful in the NFL means everyone wants a piece of your pie. The number of people who have left this organization to be successful elsewhere is a testament to Seattle's forward thinking strategies.
I think Teasley will be a loss. He’s a talented guy and obviously was a good gage of talent. That being said, I think the front office has a large number of very talented guys still on the staff, and I bey there’s a line of guys who would love to work for the Seahawks and work with JS. Therefore it’s a loss that can and will be filled. Now who will those draft picks be and what will they amount to?
I already posted…lol. Thanks SJ for the details. Good stuff as always. Count it as a win. Recall Fetterrer was previously very helpful in team building and we likely suffered a bit when he left but JS is so attuned now and staff is good and Teasley apparently not poaching us so should be a net positive

The roots of a healthy tree grow deep and wide.

Best Talent Evaluator?
Adams Peters (Moons GM) [Medium Long Blue Line 3]
... fixed.
Does this mean that the odds of landing Justin Jefferson in a trade just went up?
