I'm seeing interceptions coming to us via Jamar Chase today. Maybe some volleyball to get there. Just want to squeak this in before kickoff...

You've been consistently at .500 the whole season. Let's hope today is your breakout game.

It would be a good day for the running game to go from solid to dominant, so I hope you're right on that one. I know it's easy to look at the stats and deduce Cincy isn't a good team. I think that would be a mistake. We've talked too much about how bad teams are that we're about to play, and then we don't dominate them (or lose to them in the case of the Rams). Just to change the karma, I'll say Cincy is becoming what we thought they'd be, and this will be a tough game. 31-24 Seahawks, with the running game putting the game away in the 4th quarter.

Let's go O-line and give them backs some chances to get through the first wave! They're both really good enough to make that a game winning formula!

I am just looking for that confident, aggressive, play making defense I saw 2 weeks ago play again. Let’s stack some games together.

Sea-J, you nailed this one. And the last J might be the best J if Jaxson gets to strut his stuff. But my heart is with Jamal. Dude needs to shed the past bad juju and rock like we know he can. It will be interesting to see the game plan on both sides of the ball. Will defense go to a multi-safety idea, mixing coverage and quick blitzes try to counter Joe Burrow's recent revival? Will offense just ground and pound? It's a cool contest and you really got my blood flowing

Ken, we’re on the same page (see my bold predictions)! Jamal is going to ball out rest of season. I’ve always been a fan of Reed (and his sack dance), he may not have the name recognition but he is consistent and can get into a flow.

I think this team is just getting started. I may be proven wrong, but none of us wants that.

What's everybody having to eat for the game? I know what I'm having--a little advance planning makes for a great Seahawks Sunday!

I'm having waffles for breakfast. Those are just pancakes with Abs. Speaking of Abs... I'm thinking D-Kaf could have a great day. Cinnci loads up against the run and we pass them silly.

Geno on P/A passing is doing great, so getting the running game rolling will help him for sure, and DK will be a beneficiary.

Are you making the waffles from scratch? I have never invested in a waffle maker :D.

Ray's avatar

Totally from scratch! I'm 78 theses days and I'm using the waffle iron my mom bought when I was a kid. My sister used it for years to feed her kids and grandkids and now my grandkids are the primary beneficiaries.

Nice, Ray! It's cool to have that connection to something in your kitchen. Have you used the same batter recipe all that time? What is your fav way of serving the waffles?

Ray's avatar

Actually, Waffles are kind of a pain in the bottom. If I'm really on top of my game I make a few ahead and keep them warm in a 200 degree oven so we can all eat together. Then it's just butter and maple syrup, nothing fancy.

My wife started feeding a sourdough starter this week, there's a lot of discard generated so she's going to try using that in sourdough waffles in the morning. Recipe choice is entirely coincidental but I'm hoping to see decisive play on both sides of the ball from the Seahawks, no waffling at the point of attack. Maybe Riq will have to resort to some Press man coverage and that will pay off in a big interception, which would be the syrup on top of a big win.

I will see myself out now.

Now about those puns... [cracks knuckles]:

The Seahawks recipe for success, don't Geno, involves Reed'ing the play and circling the Wagners on D, showing the Bengals some Love, and eating their lunch Witherspoon. I think it's a Lockett that the 'Hawks will 'Tre-umph (fingers Cross'ed) as the as they win in a Walker. I will be toasting them with a 2023 Charbonnet.

I love this vision SSJ! And I don't have much to add except this:

"I was underage in this funky bar

And I stepped outside to smoke myself a "J"

And when I come back to the room

Everybody just seemed to move

And I turned my amp up loud and I began to play

And it was late in the evening

And I blew that room away"

An early morning game is going to feel Late in the Evening for the Bengals if K9/Charbs roll for 200.

Oh, and Witherspoon is going to get another turnover--either INT of FF..

I'm OK with all the visions so far, but I'm going in a different direction. I wouldn't be too surprised if Cinnci loads up against the run and JSN & Jake Bobo both have big games from the slot position. I'm visualizing the slot corners dismay when he has to cover a small shifty guy on one play and an oversize monster on the next, both of whom are pretty good at getting behind you and making you look pretty dumb.

Love the vision. At least the parts I can see thru the purple haze here at SSJ this morning.

Ran into a bit of Seahawks trivia in a blurb about tomorrow’s game. After Chase had his great game last week, he became the 5th NFL player to catch at least 15 passes and score three TDs in a game. Two of the first four players to do this were Seahawks!

Largent and Lockett.

Your visions are getting pretty dang bold!

If I could amend slightly...

- actually no amendment to the Chase vision, >70/no TD’s against Spoon is cool

- 65 yds or less rushing, 3 sacks and under 24 pts (which won’t be enough 😏)

- Kenny and Zach combine for 150 rushing, or, for 200 from scrimmage.

Also, I envision a close game. Seahawks win. Barely. Fans nerves are frayed, leading many to get, well, you know.
