In a reprise of Super Bowl 3, the Hawks drive for an early score capped off by JSN’s second TD of the season. The two teams then battle for field position throughout the second and third quarters. Walker and Charbonnet pound out enough run yards following INTs by Wagner and Witherspoon to set up a pair of Myers FGs, giving Seattle a 13-0 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Cleveland finally breaks through following a strip sack by Miles Garrett. The Browns nearly recover an onside kick, losing the ball only because Chris Matthews—unseen by the referees—comes out of the stands to secure the ball for Seattle. The Hawks move the ball 20 yards and put the game away 16-7 on Myers third FG.

Not feeling that Seattle's chances are good but then I'm the Hawk Grinch this season (and last).

Just finished watching the Huskies hold on for the win by the skin of their teeth. Not an easy game to watch. Tomorrow's game will be easier because I have so much less hope for the Hawks.

I think the crowd will play a role in how poorly the Browns offense will perform. Crowd noise seems to be up this season, starting with (but not stopping at) the game honoring the 10th anniversary of the SB winning team. Bring it 12s!

I see Walker breaking a 30+ yard run, hopefully for a TD.

And a Hawks win. Definitely a Hawks win.

It’s heralded as a low score defensive mauling by both sides and there is no reason to think it won’t be. The line can’t run block forcing the backs to earn every yard, and Waldron/Geno can’t get it done when they are down in the 20. This actually feels like it could be the game that decides the season - when it really comes down to a bare knuckle fist fight, who wants it more?

Vision: Seahawks win a terrible advert for offensive prowess by a score that is at least higher than the misery served up when they were quarterbacked by Clipboard Jesus.

Geno has a full slate of targets for the Brown's defense to prep for. That can only be good for a lot of passing. If Tyler sits out, we can expect to see More Bobo with some Dee Eskridge sprinting downfield occasionally. I hope I'm wrong about Geno having vision troubles. Maybe DK has taken Bobo notes on dancing the sidelines and refusing to concede any catches. I am surprised I haven't noticed his leaping abilities thus far. Let's see some "Air Metcalf". If Pete insists on "establishing" the run early, we'll see some early 3-and-outs. Go to passing instead and let the offensive line find their rhythm before demanding they open lanes. I suspect we'll see Geno try out his legs on some Waldron option designs. It will freeze a linebacker as spy and open up more opportunities for Bobo and JSN. I just hope he doesn't wait to scramble out of desperation. Let's hope we see Geno relax and simply enjoy playing the Game. Too much thinking makes your head too noisy. Get the rhythm going and the Game will reveal what is needed and when. We should start seeing our killer Defense put actual points on the board. The Dogs will be loosed.

I thought about Geno for awhile and wonder if he has been to the optometrist lately?!?!

Being the throwback game I envision Walker having a run late in the game, breaking at least 5 tackles and scoring a touchdown (in honour of Beast Quake).

So Dee is active and on the 53 now, and Jason Peters is activated. Peters may be able to help on the OL.

I have zero vision of Dee making a contribution, even though he was reportedly working out with Geno in the offseason and there were reports of him being in the "best shape ever" (you hear that a lot in the offseason). But this is a make/break time for Dee so if he is ever going to show something we will see it now.

Is Eskridge the player who does a standing back flip after a touchdown?! I love him!

I think that was Marquise Goodwin, playing on the Browns now.

Oh! In that case he better not be doing any back flips 🤣🤣

Rec'd you, but to bring balance to whatever, will have Dee catch 3 long passes 'n a TD

for the fun of it. Welcome back, Mr. Eskridge. No more injuries or other distractions, please.

WOW, the stats for Geno against man coverage are telling. Were I a coach, I might shock everyone and come out with Lock as QB since the Browns are all about man. Not saying that Lock is better or worse than Geno, just that you can't get worse than LAST against man coverage in the NFL. How's that for a gameplan? SURPRISE!

I have a feeling that Geno is going to have a VERY bad game, maybe worst of his career. Not sure if there will be enough defense to overcome that.

Geno staring down the guy he is going to throw to is responsible for those stats. But yeah I would love to see Lock getting some reps out there as a "change of pace".

All this talk about it being a defensive struggle makes me think it's going to be a shootout.

Vision: Myles eats Geno for breakfast in the 1st. Lock comes in and controls off the back of a solid run game, bagging himself 2 TDs from RZ snaps, and just stirring the 'Hawks fanbase QB chat into overdrive.

Basically matched on our Defensive vision, although I think the Browns will get a TD, but ultimately Meyers can kick us home late on.

I’m expecting two or three elite defensive plays. Every time the Browns get the ball I’ll be thinking something great is about to happen. Kinda like when I used to have a Mariner’s game on for background noise and Junior would come up to bat; I’d pause whatever I was doing and watch. I just knew something good was coming. Chin locked in to his right shoulder following through with a perfect stroke.

As for the offense, they’ve talked about being better in the Red Zone for the last 2 or 3 weeks and I think it was something they talked about a lot last year. Let’s go! 2 RZ TDs and 1 explosive play for a TD.

I don’t expect the Browns to score more than twice and we should have the talent to score 24+ each week.

I predict a quiet game from WR’s lined up outside, but Gino makes hay from slot formations and TE sets. If they want to man up against us, Gino will need time to hit the crossers. I’d also like to predict the breakout running game again but have been doing that for the past couple games and it hasn’t happened. So maybe if I leave that alone they’ll actually do it.

Never did figure out why Colby hasn’t been a go to guy there. Not sure whether they don’t run much for him, or he just isn’t winning down there.

One of the RZ failures vs Cinci, Colby was the guy who was the one Geno was supposed to hit but he was sacked. Postgame Geno said as much.
