SEA MORE COMMENTS:

- Forgot to follow up Jay's vibes picks from Week 1: Hero was Jerome Baker and I'd say he had a really good Seahawks debut. Zero was Courtland Sutton and sure enough he was held to four catches on 12 targets and only 38 yards. I say "vibes" picks have worked out well in the early going.

- What are your thoughts on the Patriots this season? Can they make the playoffs? Is their Defense legit? Will we see Drake Maye take over at some point? I didn't get much into the Patriots this week, so tell me what you think of them!

- Anyone going to the game?

The Pats’ D is definitely legit but there will be no playoffs because of ineptness/injury issues on the OL and passing game. The Pats have a serious problem at OT and injury issues in the IOL, plus a lack of weapons in the passing game. Maye is already getting 30% of the practice reps with the ones so the pats are preparing him to play this season at some point, but not rushing him which is smart.

Next year the Pats will make a jump up with Maye as the starter.

My wife gives off good (most often accurate) vibes too. I've learned to listen to and try to understand what those vibes are saying, even when my "male logic" might say otherwise. We balance each other out and she let's me "be in charge". Loving her is my one true non-negotiable daily habit. She's been putting up with me being a Seahawks fan since 1976 and despite me having brothers and sons, she is the one person who I enjoy watching the games with best. Kiss her (Jay!) at least once every day, Joe. Go Seahawks!!

Two turnovers and 3 sacks. Kenny McIntosh gets a touchdown. I think he is Mr. Adrenaline when he plays. Seems he runs faster in games.

May the 12s be with you and Go Seahawks!

I think Brissett's going to look as uncomfortable as anyone not named Evel Dick on season 8, every time he goes back to pass.

Not sure about the pronunciation of that guy's name, but I hope his first name is the same as Evel Knievel! because of course!

On D I think the Seahawks will take advantage of the Pats weakness at OT so I love Seaside Jay’s pick of Hall to have a big day. I will say that Hall and Mafe each get a sack and another TFL in the run D. Also on D, Knight may get a start at LB and if he does, a FF will be the reward! D gets a TD on a scoop and score.

Offence—tomorrow will be JSN’s day with 100 yards and a TD. Barner gets his first reception also, and the RBs get a very workman-like 120 yards with a TD. Final score 24-10.

SS Jay’s “Zero” callout sprayed

*Target 🎯 Repellent*

on Courtland Sutton’s cement mitts, Denver’s receivers were awful!

And Jerome took his “Hero” pedestal to heart, solid impact SSJay!

Week 1 had a poor but mobile QB. The defense played great. Now we get a decent but immobile QB behind a worse line. It’s feast week for the D.

1) stop the run

2) attack the passer

NE under 100 yards combined on the ground. And Brisset gets sacked 4 times and patriots are held to around 200 yards until garbage time.

Hawks win 24-6 or 24-14 depending on a garbage time TD or not

I see at least 1 sack each for Mafe, Witherspoon and Murphy. And a pick each by Woolen and Witherspoon. JSN comes through with a TD and at least 80 yards.

And of course a Seahawks win!

No early thoughts in my brain, I just enjoy being able to watch a Seahawks game live again in German free TV.

The mid '00s vibes! Big Brother and Mean Girls whilst discussing the Patriots. Just needed a reference to Christina Aguilera.

This week, let's get rowdy, unruly, fired up in a hurry. Wanna get dirty. Week 1 was a foundation, Week 2 is a time to really set out the stall. D showing up and out. O picking up where it left off.

The more powder we can keep dry and still Win, the better. Save the surprises for our Division Games, starting in Week 6. With Miami's Tua gone, things just got a bit easier in these regards, adding to the "tuning" opportunities. MacDonald's initial Raven Defense took half of their first season to complete its' learning curve, kicking ass as they fine-tuned their playbook into the second half. It looks like Coach Mack has shortened that stretch to these games we are now watching, adding wrinkles and twists as needed for our guys to be up to speed with when GoTime hits (Game 6). Our bench is getting exercised, to include a whole different scheme using Charbs/MacIntosh. Tailor that to specific opponents. K9 is best left to heal his obliques over 2 weeks, rather than 1. Huge advantage, that. Same with our receiver corps. Imagine the boost a guy gets, knowing he won't be tasked with playing through the pain again this week. Each of them has a proven record of doing so, but have no doubt they'd rather not have to do it again and again and again. Save that powder for the end of the season. Even then we have guys like Holani on our Practise Squad... I am damned excited for what I see being built.

Last week: one TD for K9 and one 5K for me. Looks like no Running for Walker in week 2, but I'll find my motivation from somewhere else this time. Get well soon Ken!

If we win time of possession, we'll win the game. I see Grubb dialing it down to grind out some long 1rst half drives. DK and JSN are universally praised for their blocking after the game. Bobo finds the endzone to seal the deal and Lockett is just a diversion to keep the safeties honest. Stone Forsythe gets lost looking for someone to block but enjoys orange slices at halftime.
