What interesting youtube videos! I didn't think I'd watch the entire Afroman video, but it just kept on holding my attention. Now I really want to see "Good Time" and "Heaven Knows What" too. My eight-year-old daughter and I had to watch "Dorothy" three times in a row. Thanks Kenneth!
I've got NOTHING non-Seahawks to offer. Ever. I've got no actual interest or concern with or about any other franchise except how their next game effects the Seahawks.
That said, my visions came to me early on Thursday morning while trying to get a few more moments of sleep. First, David Carr leads a late comeback and Las Vegas just barely beats Denver. My second vision is a little less clear but I think I saw Indi squeaking past Philadelphia and Houston beating Washington on Sunday, then AZ outlasting San Francisco on Monday night.
Well, there is that I suppose. I was pretty close otherwise though. Somebody named Carr lead a last minute drive to tie the game and then won it in OT.
I'll be astonished if Young, Stroud, Anderson, and Carter aren't the top four picks but the concensus mock has it Young, Andersen, Stroud, Murphy, Addison, Skoronski, Carter, Breese, and Sanders as the top ten with Seattle taking Carter at seven (and Felix Anudike-Uzomah at 22). If we have a top four pick and don't have shot at Anderson there will be suitors for a shot at the top QBs. Would Seattle view Myles Murphy as more valueable than Carter? Would the Lions be willing to trade the 8th and 11th pick for Seattle's 4th, 21st, and 52nd pick. The value numbers work. The Lions would get a QB (Levis) and Seattle could get two top 11 players. Those include Breese, Tyree Wilson, any receiver, and possibly even Carter. Want to push the pocket from the middle, Carter and Breese positioned on either side of Woods would be fearsome.
Not much other than keep the Broncos vision going ! What a shocker that the Cardinals are 12 and 4 to the good against the Niners, keep on rocking the Cards !
It will be unfortunate from the individual personally, but it is over due for Jimmy G. to experience the full force of the Cardinal blitze and injury ensues. Next 49er qb up!
Man, I try so hard to never root for injuries. They're clearly a part of the game and they have a huge impact on who wins and loses. But I want to be someone who roots for another's misfortune. Losing a game is one thing but losing a game, a season, a career is quite another.
Even when it comes to wins and losses, I see children in the stands and they want so much for their team to win. If those are fans of the other team, it leaves me caring less about my team getting the win because I hate to disappoint children. So then I need to actively remember that there are children rooting for both teams and that, inevitably, one learns that someones one's team loses and that was actually part of the point of creating team sports to begin with, at least in the western educational system.
The English saw team sports as a way to prepare young men for life, to work well together, to persevere, to become gracious as winners or losers. I've notice in law, as I'm an attorney who used to litigate, that it was so much more satisfying to work with attorneys who had played competitive sports as kids. They instinctively knew to keep their egos out of the litigation. They were more likely to be kind and gracious throughout the process and beyond. They were easiest to build trusting relationships with, even though we were opponents in a particular case (and would likely be opponents again in the future). They were the people I most enjoyed working with/against.
This is a great take, paralax, and I'd add--about the injury piece--that you want to play and beat a team when they're at strength. If your team is good, play straight up; if not, you don't really deserve to win anyways.
In both Seattle SB losses, key injuries really hurt the team--pun intended. We were down to a third safety in '05, and beat by that trick play (trick play and refs can also be referenced here).
Avril and J Lane's injuries in the '14 SB loss get lost in the 'last play.' Seattle had a 10 point lead they would not have relinquished with Avril and Lane on the field. In fact, I think Avril should have been the MVP in SB '13 and not Smith. He was a game wrecker in the cleanest of versions. He just messed up the other team's game plan.
NEVER root for an injury, or want any part of them happening.
It's really too bad for both Penny and Adams who were key parts of this team coming into the season, and Seattle would be unstoppable with them both (I don't buy the Neal>Adams stuff as these coaches would have them both on the field).

David Carr would have to be signed as a street free agent to play the game ;). But maybe his brother Derek can do the trick

Carter will not be there after #3
Thanks for this. It's easy to get obsessed with Denver's pick being top five. Anything that helps me to step back and see possibility is appreciated.
Lost by 5.

We beat the Patriots if Avril and Lane don’t get hurt. The team was banged up anyway and just could withstand in-fame injuries/
Imagine them as future adult Patriots fans. Then you won’t care if they’re disappointed or not.
Stay healthy ,keep competing and keep improving !
