So I was my usual optimistic self when I predicted 33-13. And I’m wildly optimistic for the whole season.

After watching Hard Knocks, I’m even more convinced this is a great team we follow. Mike Macdonald is the perfect coach for this team and it sure seems like all the players have bought in.

Cooper Kupp is a de facto coach as well as still being an effective receiver. The players all seem to have great attitudes and are willing to put the team first. No drama, just total commitment.

One of the best bits of the show was seeing my nephew’s wife appear at n a brief shot in the third episode. Yay family!

I’m so cranked for this season to kick off.

BEGAW!

I remember watching the 49er-Eagles game last year in prep for the divisional round. I could tell you I was particularly not impressed with AJ Brown. I don’t see him working out. I think he will be a negative - very much like DK.

Bold to predict a blowout. MM had 19 games of tape to prepare for Super Bowl Patriots; there are different chess pieces to account for. Did their starters play any snaps in the preseason?

I have 31-16 in my head for the Seahawks, for no other reason that it's the first game of the year and there are bound to be wrinkles, hiccups, and brain farts. Pats are likely to get enough to score 4 times, but only 1 TD. Seahawks start slow, but dominate the second half. Murphy with two sacks, Fowler with one.

I have Darnold throwing 4 TDs. I think Fleury calls a killer game and the “experts” will have to stop talking about the huge loss of Kubiak.

I want to see what he does with the RB's in the passing game. Shannahan is so good at that and it always drove me crazy we only used the RB's in the check-down and occasional screen game. I'm hoping Fleury expands it. Stresses the defence in so many different ways.

I'm tracking this for another reason. I saw this thing on Brain Games. Crowd Wisdom (The Average Game)This game tests the "wisdom of the crowd" theory, which says the collective guess of a group is often closer to the true amount than any single expert's guess. How it works: Show the group an object or a picture (e.g., "How many pages are in this thick book?" or "How many people are in this stadium crowd?"). Collect everyone's guesses then find the average of all the guesses.

I hope we keep doing this!

I also picked Julian Love to be the D player. I think the line will get pressure and force throws into Love. Just a guess.

I’m going to watch this, but I will say this is ‘generally’ right. It only fails when some one like me is the one guy ;) Go Hawks!

I went over 40 for the Hawks, predicting 42 to 6 win

The defense would have to score twice to reach 42. I'm all for it, but I don't think it's likely.
