I was going to bring up Brown, but they played different positions. Lofa and Michael Jackson and our own BWagz were MLB. CB was a Cliff Avril or Bruce Irvin type. Need that off ball MLB. And because Brown was that right side rush dynamo, remember Sinclair with 16 sacks that year? Sam Adams in middle, with 7 himself. But Brown rush or drop or move inside which meant Sinclair was wrecking havoc.
P.S. In 2007, the Hawks signed DB free agent Deon Grant, who had a nice three-year run. Interviewed during his initial training camp, Grant said all the good things about his new team you’d expect, then suddenly interjects: “Lofe! He’s a great player!”

Even with Hass throwing 8 for 15 and only 98 yards! But all that Sal and East coast so-called pundits said, “Eagles gave game away”. “They lost it” not that they got beat. Even had some wonder if Seattle had indoor plumbing.

I can’t stand the Rams. Or the Niners. But the Rams are amplified because they’ve already been anointed as the Super Bowl Champions.
I’ve seen a lot of people opine for us to beat them at their best. That would be great.
But my prediction (hope) is that they implode. I’m not hoping for injuries or anything like that, other than the worst stubbed toe in history maybe. But I’d be absolutely thrilled if the niners hand their 1-day of travel smugness their ass. That they end their season with just enough losses to just miss the playoffs.
For our boys, I’m ready to roll with it. I think we will do great! But back-to-backs are friggin hard.
So just deny them their crown in their stadium, and I will be a very happy camper!
It was asked if a team in 2026 season could end up with a 0-17 record. How about a team going 17-0 (Seahawks)? In 2024 the Rams did not play their starters in the final regular season game against the Seahawks and gave the Hawks the win. At the time my thinking was that being a mistake on their part as it gave Seattle the momentum in future games against the Rams. The so called "wise decision" is to rest key players in preparation for the playoffs, but is it? Wouldn't it be best to continue with the established momentum and keep running it forward?

My bold prediction doesn’t seem bold to me, but was met with skepticism by most field gulls writers and readers. I think the Seahawks will be better than last year’s team. They have too many rookies, 1st and 2nd year players who are now 2nd, 3rd and 4th year players who will be better to significantly better than last year. I’m sticking with 15 wins and 2 losses, but I have my eye on week 6. If they are undefeated going into week 6 and can win a very tough game on the road in Denver on 4 days rest after a game against a division rival, I think the possibility of a historic 17 and 0 season is very possible. Despite what people are saying, the Seahawks are the best team in the NFL, and I believe Fleury will improve on the offense over last year, and no way MM’s defense in year three isn’t significantly better than last year’s top defense. Week one is always subject to wide variability - just look at last year’s Super Bowl champions in week one. But I see them beating to Pats by 3 scores or more (18+ points)
