I loved K9 in college and was stoked when we drafted him but his career here wasn't one that would lead to matching the Chief's deal. If there is one guy of the 4 we let walk that I most think could have an All Pro season though, it's Walker. On the flipside, he didn't seem to appreciate sharing the backfield even though that's how he stayed in one piece long enough to become the Super Bowl MVP and make $15M a year.

Did anyone else laugh at the idea of someone going to the eagles and then getting less stupid penalties? I'm not sure why but in my head the perception is the eagles just seem to inspire frustrated players making stupid penalties
Yea, you got that right, the Seahawks should be better this year than last year, and IMO, it's just about how much better they can be and then there is the question of the Rams. Let's not kid ourselves, the Rams should be significantly better this year than last, and that's a scary thought and they deserve that attention and that is why we should not be insulted that people expect LA to beat us this year. We get the tough schedule, we get the focus from everyone on that target on our backs. So, while I completely agree with the premise here, the situation isn't the same as last year for the Eagles, even if that sports writer guy you mentioned is surely not worried about truth as he is just spouting off an opinion that might be averaging about 50% like the rest of us. That's the beauty of the job. You get paid for writing opinions that almost no one is going back and checking up on your record.
How great the Seahawks can be this year, IMO, rests mostly with Price or Wilson. I am pretty sure Holani is who he has always been. Not even as good as Charbonnet. One the other hand, I really believe we could reach the SB again with Holani as the RB with the most yards on the team. But if Price surprises to the upside, with an OLine that returns every starter, Price could easily look a lot like the reincarnation of Shawn Alexander. He runs a little like Alexander, too. I think he might be a better receiver, and he will have a better QB and bigger holes than we made last year, by a little anyways. Wilson just keeping his average over the last two years would make Charbonnet's return superfluous. Since he will likely be our short yardage guy.
But we do have a harder schedule than last year, and we do exist in the same conference as the LA Rams and 49ers. If the Rams were in the AFC, and SF was in some other conference at least, then our chances of repeating would look a lot more likely. The Rams are effectively going all in on this next year, and I will savor knocking them down again. I watch that NFCCG more than the SB, because it was defacto the real SB, and that is likely to be the case again this year.
Perhaps Bucky should have just made a regression to the mean argument instead. You pointed out that the Rams were one yard and one point away last year. I think they have made enough changes to hit those marks. FTR
It seems like maybe he learned from one year to the next. I mean, that's sort of how everyone is, they marry their second wife because she is the opposite of his last wife. Just like boats, a boater always buys what was missing on his last boat. So he got burned thinking the Eagles would repeat and that getting rid of high priced veterans was the way to go, and so now he thinks we should have kept our veterans and we won't repeat because the Eagles did not repeat and that's because repeating is hard.
Like our guy Zez (pretty sure it is Zez, awfully sure, 99.99% is Zez) how much was Walker and how much was Oline improvement. I’ve said it repeatedly, am avg Oline is one that has good/decent players who play essentially the entire season together. More than any other group, they are a collection of 5 working in unison. Sure we lost Cross a few games but full season basically, meaning improvement. Coaching up. So, yes Walker is one of the better RBs but how much was the OLine improved for end of season run. Should be noted that Darnold was mostly very clean jersey those last few games. And no TOs in playoffs.
Not sure who said this but great quote too “Sam Darnolds value to the success of this team… his cool demeanor, lack of need for the spotlight and willingness to call himself out, I honestly don’t think there is a better match at QB for this team.” Totally agree with that assessment. And that attitude critical with this team.
FYI Titans just paid their RG $25 mil per extension. As you noted SJ, as we all know, cap is so important. Those what over $100 mil to our “lost” guys allowed us to bring in or back others. Huge diff ignored by so-called pundits.

Have the “best” RG and less money or AB and guys like DLaw and Kupp and Fowler? I’ll take my 3 or 4 for one any day. Now please AB keep learning and stay balanced!

I hadn’t heard anything and Tuesday night I didn’t see anything from him. I suspect we will see something one of these weeks.
Will be awesome if he has continued to grow and improve. He’s big and strong. We know that. Love to see runs behind him and Sundell and Grey.
