What's your Seahawks truth?
Got something to say about the Seahawks but you want to stay anonymous? Today is your chance to do it!
The month of May is at the heart of the NFL offseason doldrums, with rookie minicamp in the books and the start of nine OT sessions not beginning until May 27th. The Seahawks will have sporadic practices and meetings until June 19th, at which time there will be over a month of nothing prior to the start of training camp in late July.
The NFL will release the schedule this Wednesday, May 14th, setting another upcoming date in which there will be a lot to talk about for a few days and then nothing.
Today I want to open the floor up to the Seaside Joe community by giving fans an anonymous forum to spill your beans: What do YOU want to say about the Seattle Seahawks right now?
Maybe it’s something that’s been on your mind about the team recently and nobody else knows it or isn’t willing to say it.
Maybe it’s a criticism of a player, a coach, or an executive that you want to get off of your chest.
Maybe it’s just a compliment for the team! POSITIVE TRUTHS are just as welcome as criticisms and complaints.
Whatever it is you want to say about the Seahawks, I want you to use today’s post as your chance to say it, and I’ll share the results in an upcoming newsletter:

SEAHAWKS 2025 OPPONENTS
This is my sixth offseason doing Seaside Joe and my 14th since the first job I got writing about the Seahawks, so I already know that I can ignore the voice in my head saying, “There will be nothing to write about! There will be nothing to say!”
Somehow I’ve found something to write about at least once a day for the last 2,260 days in a row. Maybe I’ll be the only person who believes this when I say it, but I don’t think Seaside Joe has had to stretch the definition of “news” or “interesting” at any point in the last six years to make it work 365.25 days, for reasons like:
There are OVER 90 players on the team throughout the offseason and most of them are worth talking about
This year, there are 11 Seahawks draft picks to discuss + undrafted free agents
There’s a new starting QB with a new coach calling the plays
Several other new key coaches to discuss, including the OL coach, which might be the most important assistant role on any team
More moves will happen, verified last week by rumors of a potential Shaquill Griffin reunion
With all these news players on the roster, most of whom play offense, that means a lot of room for Origin Stories, background checks, and predictions when we hit these offseason lulls like now.
Another opportunity this offseason will be to further explore, find, and share content that explains the game of football to us. For the last couple of years, I’ve had a non-negotiable habit to spend at least 10 minutes per day consuming content that explains football, such as film breakdowns and offensive/defensive explainer videos. So if I were to do that today, this short series by Fox’s Joel Klatt from a few months ago is a good one for us to review:
Defensive Coverages Explained
If sharing more videos like this and breaking them down together interests you, we can spend more time in 2025 doing that on Seaside Joe.

Seaside Joe 2260
Maybe people would rather my comments be submitted anonymously, but I’m a big boy and can take the differing opinions of others. I know we have a new QB who’s only had one good season. I know we’re on our 3rd offensive coordinator in 3 years. I know we didn’t come out of free agency having addressed our biggest need - O-line. I know we lost 2 of our top receivers. I know we lack depth at CB, ILB, NT, and questions remain at C and RG. Maybe RT if Lucas truly has a chronic knee condition. But I’m feeling bullish about this season. The truth is I like how things transpired. I felt relieved we didn’t chase Will Fries in free agency and try to match the Vikings offer. Although JS did not make the picks I pegged for the Hawks in the draft, I trust and like the picks we came away with.
The last thing I want to see is a schedule release that gives us 3 easier games to begin the year. I think the longer the offense has to absorb the new system and begin to hum, the better our record will be.
This is the truth, and you heard it here first. Feel free to disagree. But we’re looking at a 12-5 team this year.
Every time this team has done a big shake up since JS became GM it seems like the national media and, to be honest, huge swaths of Seahawks fans, predict a big mess. And every single time it has been good. I love it. Gonna be a fun year.
