Re Injuries: This site was created by the former Chargers Team doc. I haven’t had a need for it, seems like it’s geared towards betting.

However, I am curious what type of information they provide. The idea behind the site is how key players being out should affect the betting line (and theoretically the casinos are not accounting for it). That being said, that is still a round about way of saying certain injuries more heavily affect teams.

So maybe they have a score that shows how much better certain teams are at covering up injuries. Or who has had the most injuries that should affect the team.

I see Terry Mclauren wants out of DC. If he and JSN were our WR1 and WR2, would we have the best hands and the best toe-tappers in the league?

I find it difficult to desire players that openly want out of their current teams.

"Nick Emmanwori not expected to miss any time"

"Riq Woolen’s injury doesn’t appear serious"

This is Good News. Thanks.

Off topic...but in the beginning of the final drive of the rams game (FTR) why was Walker not in. Charbs got a catch and in the middle of the field with space...had Walker been there I kinda feel it could've gone even better than it did. This goes back to something we've not had concensus here at SSJ. I think Walker is both the better receiver and pass protector. I think am argument could be made Charbs is the better running back in certain situations, short yardage and possibly goal line. However, I can't help but think Walker is the more well rounded back and is without a doubt the more explosive back likely to break one at any time. So why on the green earth is Charbs in when we need explosive plays and ultimately a touchdown? It all worked out so maybe I'm crazy...but it keeps itching and I can't scratch it.

Personally, and with all due respect to Walter, Tez, Largent, L.O.B., etc.; but to me, Kenny Easley was the all-time #1 game-changer, the likes of which I have never seen since.

All things Easley always sound good to me, so I can get 💯 percent behind Mrs. E.

AND, coincidentally, I have been meaning to add for several weeks now, that young Nick Emmanwori is the first safety that has truly conjured up my memories of Kenny Easley.

If Emmanwori adds ball-dislodging hits and take-aways ala Kam and Kenny, he'll be all the way there.

Mrs. Easley might be the perfect omen for that!

Lastly, speaking of omens, please, please, please don't brag about Seahawks good luck. I'll take any and all I can get...humbly.

I will likely disagree in that Tez or Largent probably over Easley but mostly longevity (please recall his crushing tackle of that piece of scum Harden or that Tez things that Arnold did bit on a team that won twice ). What I’ve said, to help younger fans, Easley was a mix of ET and Kam. Ball hawking like ET. Crushing tackles like Kam all in one player. I’ve only had a couple player jerseys. Mack Strong was my first (money always an issue). Upon learning of his passing, had to go get an Easley jersey. We’re 2-0 with me wearing it to Seahawks Stadium.

Mack Strong's jersey is a great one to own. He was a fantastic FB.

Still absolutely travesty that Hasselbeck in the Ring of Honor and not Mack!!!! (And what a great name for a blocking FB right!).

Yes, he should be in the Ring of Honor as should John L. Williams!

Agree about Mack Strong's name!

I once had the opportunity to hang out with Ronnie Lott, one on one. Of every player we spoke of, he had the most respect for Kenny Easley. (He also has tons of respect for Marshawn.”)

Talent recognizes talent.

And Ronnie Lott was THAT category of Safeties. I thought to mention him, but he was contemporary to Easley. Us old-timers remember him insisting that his new contract be for "$1.00 more than Ronnie Lott got!".

I swear I know my your/you're and my there/they're/their, but I continue to fall victim to this mistake being published because of oversights in self-reviewing prior to publishing. My apologies.

One of those things we know and just get caught up on so many times. SJ even some of the major MSM make those mistakes and they have editors. Frankly I do not think I ever caught that from your writings. As someone posted, it’s the substance.

I just can’t be bothered by this at SSJ. The writing is too good for me to complain about anything.

How about Steve Raible raising the flag? 50th anniversary player (50th pick 2nd rd, 1976) and the voice of the Hawks.

There are a lot of Seahawks greatest memories that have his voice over. I couldn't think of a better way to honor the 50th year of the team than a guy that was 4th ever pick, on the original roster, and the radio voice (color and lead) since 1982. Hell, he retired from playing for the team to join the radio broadcast team. He has been a Seahawk for 50 years.

And if we need someone to fire the crowd up for a playoff game, I couldn't think of a better choice.

Does Raible ever get on the PA and speak to the crowd? His voice probably has an even bigger impact and if he could introduce the person raising the flag or the team, that would be cool too.

No he’s not on the PA. PA just does a couple of quick comments, or says “and that’s good enough for a First Down” (which fans then mimic and gesture). Raible on radio which they don’t pipe in during games. On video highlights during breaks yes. Note he and Warren Moon did raise during a Broncos pregame Aug 2004 (before Moons falling out). Further, this year they’ve been having players who were voted top 50 Seahawks, raise the 12 flag. DJack and Chad Brown last Thursday. 19 of the 50 have done so this year.

Give him a Michael Buffer moment from the booth to address the crowd? That would be amazing.

They raise the flag pretty early compared to kick off, and I am sure whoever is doing color commentary can carry the work load until he gets back. :)
