đ„Witherspoon DOUBT, Emmanwori OUT
A host of starting secondary players are out for both sides
The Seahawks are listening Devon Witherspoon as doubtful for Sundayâs game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, two days after the cornerback was a surprise addition to the injury report. The odds of a player playing when heâs listed as doubtful are recently as low as 5.9%, with over 94% of players missing that game.
Witherspoonâs probable missed start this weekend means that the Seahawks will be even more reliant on controversially-inconsistent Tariq Woolen at cornerback. The secondary, which played most of Week 1 without safety Nick Emmanwori after he got his ankle rolled up on, will once again move foward without the rookie.
Seattle did get full participation. from Uchenna Nwosu, Jake Bobo, and Dareke Young, indicating a return this weekend for all three. Julian Love did not practice on Thursday, but has no game status designation, so he will also start.
At the same time, the Steelers ruled out cornerback Joey Porter, safety DeShon Elliott, and rookie defensive tackle Derrick Harmon.

Seahawks 38 Steelers 10. Okay, I got it wrong last week, but the Steelers gave up over 30 points to the NY Jets! I know weâre more capable than the Jets and Justin Fields. KK has had a week to go over his mistakes in play calling against the 49ers, and I expect things to roll on offense this week. 200 yards rushing and 250 yards passing. Unfortunately, JSN will have to share this week and get less than 25% of those yards. Kupp gets his TD and the TEs get some love as well.
On defense, Woolen gets an INT covering DK and Rodgers gets sacked at least 4 times and besides the INT, he suffers a strip sack by Nwosu. DK is penalized for 25 yards as his frustrations cause an outburst personal foul.
Feel free to disagree with me. I wonât take it personal if you think the Steelers are going to win big. I will, however, hope you are wrong about that outcome.
My hope is that the Hawks run it down TJ Watts' throat all day long.
