I agree pretty much with what you say. Receivers don't get targeted as much in the Ravens offense as do receivers on other clubs . The offensive coordinator who's name escapes me is the same fellow who called plays for Colin Kapernick. The offense is tailored for a running quarterback. Baltimore has proved they are going to ride Lamar hard and put away wet. They are determined to use him in this fashion for at least this upcoming season.

One thing most people don't know, it's not the Ravens who are refusing Lamar a new contract. Last year Lamar said he was to busy trying to win, so he didn't have time for a new contract. Once again, this off season Lamar literally has not answered the phone when Ravens call. He didn't go to mini camp but unlike DK who wants a new contract Lamar won't engage

I would love to watch Lamar every weekend in Seahawk blue he is just so exciting to watch. The only reason I wouldn't want Lamar, not his stats, not his football IQ, and I put him in my top 10 easily. The big reason, no team has won the Super Bowl when the quarterback is making more than 15% of the salary cap. That's why Pete and John are fine waiting until 2023 for a outstanding rookie

I forgot to mention Zach Wilson. I believe he will become the best quarterback from his draft class. He has the tools to become an elite quarterback. Weather it's by the end of this season depends how well the team around him including coaches perform.

When it comes to quarterbacks I respect Chris Simms point of view . Both he and Seaside Joe feel the same way, and of little consequence so do I.

It's a good read andf shows how very important getting a QB and other star players on early contracts is paramount. Winning in the middle of the pack or just above leads to more of the same. Am not adverse to losing to improve greatly (as hopefully this season will provide).

Zach Wilson sucks and so does your analysis

Great write-up Kenneth. There’s a theme then - if you get a QB who uses his legs to help mask his limitations elsewhere, then you’re undertaking a strategy that is likely leading to a short career for the QB concerned and issues contract-wise when that beat-up QB invariably fails to blossom. - as they are apt to do. Presumably you see something in McCall that means he has that same spark as ZW, and not just the athletic gifts of LJ...

Wow, what a write up! K goes all in!

Surprised we didn't get a "it started with Wade Wilson, went to Russell Wilson, and NOW Zach! <with guest ball appearance by Castaway's Volley Wilson>)

But with each passing example, I found myself getting more interested in Lock's potential. Maybe there's not the football IQ you mentioned? It's one of the key knocks, but watching his game against the Texans is an example of cherry picking a game and seeing all those same throws, decisions, and possibilities.

The J.E.T.S. could well sneak in, and, if playing well at that point, surprise. Selah's going to make his mark.

Question: What does Trey Lance have going for him over Lock besides the pressure of all SF gave up to get him? They're both big, strong armed guys that can make throws, mobile (Lance has more athleticism, but Lock's might be underrated), and Drew has more experience.

Now it can be said maybe not positive experience, but taking those snaps is not a negative. I see 'we know who he is, his ceiling' type stuff and just don't buy it. He's going to be 26yrs old. He's still learning. I'm not sure we have the number 4 QB in the division yet.
