It's still 2 more days until this game. The wait has been interminable.

Yeah @idahoFred, me too!!

At this point in the season (and in Sam’s arc) I think what is consistent is that he plays well on script but less well off script. Maybe that’s better for the long haul. Look at someone like Bradford. He’s amazing on script. He’s not stellar off of it but less bad than Darnold. Can Sam learn to be Bradford and dump it or eat it when the play is toast? That’s really the echelon he’s chasing. RWIII only excelled off script, and in the long term, we saw what happened… Oh, also, can Sam see what’s chum? He consistently misses lurking DBs He processes to that read and doesn’t see that last instant when he needs to double clutch and get that guy off squatting on the ball…. The NFL is a game of nanoseconds…. It’s not clear if he can get to that level. But Bradford wasn’t amazing before the Rams….

Do you mean Stafford?

Charlie has his Sherlock hat on, sees the meaning beyond the words.

Duh! Yes! What happens when you’re writing comments while sick with a fever!

Heal Up 'n get well soon.

Bradford is amazing now? I'll wait until after the next two games before I make a judgement about that unless you can point me to some evidence showing how improved Bradford is.

My confidence level is a little down, so I'm hoping for a very solid thumping this Sunday morning. I'd like to see the SeaHawks score first and win 35-10 without any trick plays, special teams help, or defensive scores. Give me something to believe in against the 49ers.

Charley Filipek's avatar

... whoa, if'n you're confidence is down 'n you see the Hawks winning 35-10,

whaen you're confidence is high, Watch Out !

🎵 Deck the turf with beat up Panthers, tra la la la laaahh...🎶. Will be suited up in my brand new X-mas Seahawks jersey (Thanks Sweetie!), buttered popcorn and Chardonay on hand (yes. They DO pair well) on Sunday to scream at the TV (sweetie has her own tv in a distant region of our digs) and help the Hawks win. Life is good. MERRY CHRISTMAS fellow Seaside Joeranniums! GO HAWKS!

More of a T-shirt. If I went for a numbered jersey it would be #54.

Randall Murray's avatar

Be careful with that wine glass with those buttered hands. And don’t get that jersey dirty!!!! :-)

Bob's avatar

I use a firm grip on a broad bottom tumbler for my chard...but the pause button on my remote does get a tad buttery. Ship's sailed on shirt stains. My T-shirts are all historical menu's of my game time gluttony.

:-)))). Love it, especially the t-shirt comment. And congrats on the Christmas gift. GO HAWKS!!!

Depends on how oaky the Chardonay is .

Smooth and buttery...like Browne...or Director's Cut for really big games.

And specifically, if it has had malolactic fermentation. Also good with popcorn? Sparkly wine, sweet wine with medium acidity like a gewurtztraminer or riesling, and an off-dry rosé.

Troll the beer-drunk Panthers fa-ans, fa-la-la la-lah, la-lah, la-lah

Right! Let me panic for you.

Merry Christmas to you and yours

Bob's avatar

Yes. Our QB is Cool Hand Sam...drop'n dimes and taking names...12's have the panic stuff pretty well covered.

I believe too many teams look at a QB ‘s traits and athletic profile vs games started , quality of opponents played against and record.

They then get the player that had a good year or 2 , made some great plays and some not so great plays. However athleticism was off the charts. They flop and give up when they need time to develop

Got a guy that is constantly posting a post that we need to draft a 6’4” 240 # QB blah blah blah and lists these college QBs meeting those numbers. Ignores that there are winning QBs that are not Allen size.
