I heard that if you turn off the light in a massage parlor bathroom and say Deshaun Watson's name three times he'll appear in the mirror and force you to give him a blow job...
Hurtt, Carroll and company have acquired an impressive number of puzzle pieces, Reed being one (there are no insignificant puzzle pieces--all are required). The question now is how will the D fit together and can the resulting picture be an significant improvement on last year?
I'm excited about Jones and have little reason to doubt Reed will be a solid, if not better than average, starter. The concern comes with the depth across the D-line and if anyone else is capable of providing meaningful snaps as rotational players, or quality and consistent play in case of injury.
It's clear we need Jarran to shine against the run. Our d line also needs to become much more of a thread to earn a sack, as those devastate an offense's ability to march downfield. Without those improvements, I think we'll have a .500 team. Despite some obvious improvements on offense and defense. So much comes down to line play (on both sides of the ball).
I believe REED will be a good player for Seattle. They still need to have at least two guys that play a NT type position.

When he does his thing well, everyone else excels. Team player, defined.
Reed and Jones could become a headache for offences if both are firing. They can’t double team everyone.

I hope Jarran Reed has a career-best season in 2023.
Welcome back, Mr. Reed! Great article, KenJoe. Gonna be rooting for Mr. Jarran Reed big time.
