I'll admit to wavering this way and then the other way on DK Metcalf's value to this team. I've advocated for trading him a long time ago. Then I thought he was worth his salary for the yards and TD's he got, and attention he took away from the other receivers. I thought he would get even more than we got for him based upon his reputation, which never seemed to take into account his immaturity. Pete defended DK on the basis of his passion for the game. Interestingly, Aaron Rodgers also defended DK because he works at his craft and wants to get better.

But JSN transcends the talents of DK. He is great at every aspect of the position. During the year DK was drafted, he fell in the draft for the fact that his 3 Cone and Shuttle times were atrocious. 31 other teams didn't draft DK because of those data points. So when you realize that, as SSJ pointed out, JSN's 3 Cone and Shuttle were almost records. Very elite numbers for any position.

Which is why I am not, and most of you are not surprised at all by JSN's production so far. Nor am I surprised that a healthy Cooper Kupp is still a valuable receiver. Very valuable. I rejoice that we have an all hands team. Every TE, WR, and RB on our team have excellent hands. From the first to the last WR, they all have great hands. Drops are gone with DK. And no MVS.

Hallelujah, Hallelujah!

First 39 games? Couldn't you have put this off for one more week and crunched the numbers for the first 40 games? I only like numbers that end in 5 or 0, for these purposes, thank you very much!

Let's check back in at 50. No, wait, 51 equals 3 full seasons. Ahhhh... my brain hurts.
