My vision for tomorrow is that somebody is going to run the routes DK would normally run and I have a feeling that person will be Shenault, who may have a surprising game.

I have had a vision of the running game getting going for WEEKS now and while K9 got two TDs last week we have yet to see a real dominate running game from the Seahawks… this could be the game where the Seahawks get 150+ on the ground from K9 and Charbs.

On D I have a vision that Allen’s turnover luck runs out and he gets picked twice… Witherspoon and Bryant. A late FG gives the Seahawks the win.

Need speed to replace DK. Might see Dee Williams?

Maybe? Shenault has speed too (on display on the KR touchdown) and is a good blocker as well.

Then we'll see Shenault, as Williams is too much of an unknown. Plus the guy's a bruiser.

I'm glad you mentioned Fant and those types of plays; I noticed he's been used on, and found success with, slip releases and chip-to-flat stuff more and particularly on play-action. He's still getting work in the intermediate areas but the short stuff in space has looked particularly promising.

They have to run to play some clock vs. Josh. The best defense will be more offense. But it's hardly that simple. But it would be great to see Grubb go heavy with Shenault, Bobo, and two TEs on the field and run and throw out of this. It gives run action a better shot at success AND it lets you get the ball to K9 on throws as well, and have more effective blockers like Barner on the field with him.... This is still about as tough a game for the Hawks as SF. Yes, San Fran has a better D, but I really fear what Allen can do that Purdy cannot....

Watching the games JSN just does seem as good as Tyler. The most prominent number is yards per catch and speed. Tyler is to my eyes much quicker in his cuts. I don’t know the actual numbers this is just the eye test.

I just do not have a good feeling about this game against Buffalo. I think the only way they win is if they outscore them and get some term turnovers.

Since no one has asked, I will volunteer it anyway my pick for the Super Bowl this year is Buffalo versus Detroit

Tyler is a Clutch Guy. Baldwin was a Clutch Guy. Bobo is proving himself a Clutch Guy. As our new Grubb Offense matures, that will be recognized. Not Fant, not DK. JSN is a strong Maybe. Go Bobo.

As Bruce Irvin once told me, “It ain’t no fun if the homies can’t have none”.

Nuff said. Thanks, KenJoe.

Congratulations to Seaside Jay (assuming it was a voluntary move)! Nothing like a little schadenfreude when they finally get their comeuppance, especially if it wasn't voluntary!

Yes! This week feels much different to me. For all of the season so far I have been excited to watch what Geno can do with grubb. High level QB play with coordinator is always fun for me.

However, this week feels much different. With the potential for weather and the defense in pretty good health. I am looking for an old school ground game + low risk attack coupled with a strong defensive line and overall performance. I think Murphy gets his sack. I want to see so much ground game that Charbs gets 10 touches to go with 18 from K9.

This game is outside in the elements- time to assert a physical edge.

Just got done watching this type of game from Indiana. 52 rushing attempts to 19 throws!

I can see Grubb playing two TEs and basing the offense on Walker, Fant, and JSN.

Although I’m starting to wonder about JSN. When Geno needs a completion, he still likes Lockett above all, then Metcalf. 1Ds + TDs and 1Ds + TDs as pct of receptions:

Lockett 25 (86.6)

Metcalf 22 (62.8)

JSN 19 (51.3)

Fant 14 (58.3)

We should leave ourselves open to the possibility that JSN is a highly-regarded college receiver who is just okay as a pro.

I would like to see some more Two TE actual receiver routes and use them, one of them should be open! JSN is certainly better than Lockett now ( tenth year for Mr. Lockett) but I think we need to hold out on saying he will be /or is better than Lockett already or will be - Let's let him prove that! If we get a better job at MLB with our new guy Playing as A MLB the D- line should have better chances to go eat! Yes, JA either needs to be on the ground or make him throw it away with that just getting ready to plant him, time after time! NOW , If the O-line holds its own and gives the backs even just a little bit of consistent run room we have a good shot at this game! GO HAWKS!

Whether it’s usage or ability, Lockett is having a better season than JSN. Twenty-five of Tyler’s thirty receptions are for a first down (83%). He remains the receiver Geno most trusts in a tight spot.

Interestingly, I just read in my Fantasy App that Charbs ‘out-snapped’ Walker last week coz Walker was dealing with an illness prior to the game. Well, if Walker was crook last week, I’d hate to see him when he’s feeling well. Hopefully he’s feeling better this week.

Will this be the game where we look back in three years and say that's when the Seahawks defense got their swagger back? Win or lose, I envision a statement will be made tomorrow.

This game could be this Seahawk version’s 2012 game vs Tom Brady and New England. Hang in and win it late. Woolen or Spoon get the late pick instead of Sherm.

We have to attack the middle of the field against these guys. With DK out they’ll play more man coverages, so JSN and Fant have to win their share of those. But the middle of the field will have opportunities that we need to exploit.

I wish that MM would put Spoon on the outside and leave him there. He’s too small for the beating he takes in the slot, and the Swiss Army knife approach to deploying him isn’t paying off.
