I really doubt that MM lets the 'Hawks take anything for granted in Week 2, even if they crush the Pats in Week 1. So no, the Cardinals will not beat the Seahawks. In fact, unless they can figure out how to beat the Giants in Week 4, the Cardinals could be winless going into their Week 14 Bye. Mike LeFleur did not step into a great spot to start his (brief?) career as a head coach. I'd be sympathetic, but... well... I just don't care.

I just can't see how Seattle, with a great defence, would give up very many points to a middle-of-the-road AZ offence, or how Seattle's offence, with everybody fresh and healthy, could fail to score a bunch of points against a bottom-feeder defence. Maybe in week 9, but not in week two.

I just can’t see the Cards with a record better than 3-14. I suppose they will have a decent offense…when they’re not playing Seattle.

That defense shouldn’t scare any team.

Kuddos on the Pauly Shore reference! He was meant for MTV and The Comedy Store not much else. Although, I will admit....... I enjoyed Encino Man during that time of my life!

I can honestly say that I remember absolutely nothing about Pauly Shore. While it means that I may have missed out on some of SSJ's quippiness in today's article, based on what I saw when I googled the name... well... I just don't care.

See the Arizona Cardinals at the Top of the Line ... for the #1 Pick. The question will be whether they are willing to trade it for a great haul of other picks so that they can actually make some progress towards team building.

I don’t know the Cardinals well enough to predict their season record. I will predict they lose twice to the Seahawks. I spend almost all my time on the Seahawks. The two teams I pay attention to other than the Seahawks are the Rams and 49ers. After that, I tend only to delve into the team we play next on the schedule and what I see on Redzone when the Seahawks are not playing and who happens to be playing on Monday, Thursday and Sunday night.

If any other SSJ people follow the Seahawks on FieldGulls, they are looking for feedback from the 3% of Hawk fans who voted they are more confident in the Seahawks beating the Rams this year after the Garrett trade. I voted before yesterday’s SSJ article and had what I think are valid reasons. If you were with me in the 3%, let them know why. We need to spread the word!

“Spread the word?” I didn’t mean to make this sound like a religion….
