This is the QB school with JT O'Sullivan talking about Sam & you will need to go to the end to see Gray Zabel getting absolutely destroyed on the failed 4th down conversion attempt.
Point is, we could make videos like these for any one of our guys. In fact, you could probably make one for most lineman in the NFL.
A rule I like to live by is don't buy analysis when the video evidence was taken with a smart phone recording the television set.
This years version of our offensive line is still just as young and growing as they were at the beginning of the year when everyone was happy about their progress & vowed to be patient.
In my opinion the line is already head & shoulders ahead of last year & still getting better. The offense as a whole is also head & shoulders above last year.
We would not be 3-1 & looking like a fairly complete team if our right guard was ACTUALLY a dumpster fire on every down.
I have a unique and unusual solution. Convert one of our tight ends to a guard. They play offense so the know the plays. Easy fix. Gotta be at least as good a Bradford and maybe better.
Bradford sucked as a rookie and he sucks now. Unfortunately, his bad play effects Sundell and Lucas, who are trying to help out on his man. I must admit that he is really good blocking thin air. I don't know if any of our other options could possibly be worse. Maybe the Hawks should have to over pay for a competent guard in a trade from a cellar dwelling team that's looking for help next year. I think we all now know that this can't continue. It's time we take the bull by the tail and face the situation!
Doesn’t it seem like we have a serious talent evaluation issue at guard? I mean, Bradford, Tomlinson, Laumea, Haynes . . . sheez, is it that hard to find some NFL average talent?
OK, 1st round pick this year, seems like we got it right, but it feels more like a broken clock situation (still right twice a day). I could have made that pick and no one would call me a genius for it.
I'm not an OL expert by any stretch, but even I caught B getting smoked by Cards Dline, looking like he didn't even see the pressure slip by. If I'm picking this stuff out in real time on TV, it's not a good omen
On half of these I see him lunging with his head down and his feet stopped. On others he just doesn't seem to see the defender... which is weird. On the goal line play he starts out great with his feet moving with good leverage but slips off the block. Hard to fault him for that one.
The Hawks had about 60 plays on offense. That means he had 6 of 60 plays that were truly "what the hell are you doing" moments. Is 10% blown blocks high for an offensive lineman? I honestly don't know. I would guess 1 or 2 would be normal. Is it possible for a guy to go from 6 per game to 1 per game during the season? I also don't know if this game is an outlier for him this season either.
My condolences on having to sit through "Sex and the City". My girlfriend loves the show but she knows that watching that is a non-starter for me and I'll even sit through the Real Housewives BS for family time.
Back in the day we called these shows ‘chick flicks.’ Or shows. I no longer use the term for the ladies in the audience. My comment is for information only and don’t necessarily represent the opinion of the author.
I rewatch the Seahawks’ game 3 times every week. (I’m retired with lots of time) The best way to figure it out is to get an NFL+ premium subscription if you can afford the $79 for a year. They strip the commercials out of the game for you to watch it in an hour and 40 minutes. Plus, one to two days after the game they have the all-22 film. You can focus on all the players on the field which is impossible on the commercial version of the game which tends to focus in on the ball.
No movies please. It would be better if he was just a bad blocker but, on several plays, he can't find anyone. You know the 300 plus pound individuals.
I would like to think he is trying, but sometimes I can't tell.
Bradford definitely negatively impacted Abe Lucas on a few plays. I would imagine he’s also negatively impacting the play of Sundell, as cohesion is such an important past of O-line play. I’m willing to concede that Bradford is not a capable starter. My hope he was improved has not materialized. I just thank the football Gods we’re not still using last year’s offense. (Grubb) Kubiak’s system is helping mask Bradford’s weakness to some extent.
What would I do? We need to put our 5 best O-linemen out on the field. If Olu is better than Bradford, bring him in at center and slide Sundell to RG. If Bradford is our fifth best lineman, how long can Kubiak mask the problem before it costs us games we should have won? I’d still go Edge or CB before IOL in next year’s draft, but I would take an IOL on day two.
Well, if we are going to eviscerate our offensive linemen with no context social media snippets, here's one for you. https://youtu.be/8JBUTaEQc0I?si=9Sd-qIFvESpzHK-u

After watching the last few replays, I have a new nickname for A B. " Blew By You Bradford. ".

Yeah I’ve noticed Lucas fall over and look bad. Maybe his reel would be a little hard to watch too.
I thought sex and the city would be written a lot better than this. I can’t believe there’s still so much left after the series ended.
I saw about 5 minutes of the latest version (And Just Like That) and it is completely unwatchable.

He's not a false start machine so far this year which is already a serious improvement on last year.
And those low lights were definitely bad but I wish there was some sort of a bad play % for linemen to figure out how bad his bad actually bads

That’s true.
I think this is a good point. I don't recall any of the bad penalties he had last year occurring so far. That's gotta be a positive.
(Sigh….)

The only defense I can offer is perhaps his back injury is having an affect on his play, but why would he be playing if it’s that bad?
Perhaps he’s not 100%
Bradford now is the same as Bradford before. He has feet like they are in concrete and for as big he is he lacks power and balance.
