The Campbell sack, your first video clip, was the only one of these I saw during the game. The rest of these are a blooper reel.
The only thing I kept thinking as I was watching clips and reading is this:
I wonder if Bradford will see this online? I know him, his teammates and coaching staff will have all of these and more to see on film. But to see an educated fanbase call you out with video and your opening paragraph….damn, I’m sorry Bradford but you sucked last Thursday bro.
It seems you bring up the crux of the problem when you bring up all the other players we have drafted to take the job from the worst lineman on the team. Haynes was a considerable draft investment and I think he is a confirmed bust. The two rookies still have a chance to prove something. The others we let go.
We need another first round guard next offseason. This is the biggest deficiency on the team, by a mile. Until then we need ouzts to get healthy or put lineman behind Bradford for all the plays he “tries” to do his job on
There are two upcoming opportunities to rethink the o-line. As has been noted, it's not just AB, Abe is not playing nearly the way I expected. They have an extended week this week to look at it and evaluate opportunities. Then the bye week is coming up in a few weeks. They'll look at it.
Big picture, the o-line is significantly better than last year, so we can't lose sight of that. Change doesn't necessarily make it better.....it could make it worse. Perhaps one of the other more athletic big men on the roster can be groomed over the next few weeks to step in after the bye week.
They want to go from good to great, and making the o-line even better will be part of that, if they've got the personnel to do that. Hopefully the other linemen on the 70 are in the gym and in the kitchen getting ready for the opportunity, if it comes.
Bradford has had enough time to be evaluated and trained up. He's either taking too long to get there or may never get there. I'm ready to move on. Now what are the options? Can a rookie make the leap? When Jones is back I'm getting a look at him at RG for sure. I'm looking everywhere and trying anything, we can compete this year - let's load up and go get after it!
Do the same with Grey and Sundell….No sacks. Little pressures given up. No penalties. I watch him also getting to the second level. I see pancakes. Could do the same with Cross this last game. Asked AI and here was the response. “As of mid-September 2025, the top-ranked offensive linemen for the Seattle Seahawks based on early-season grades are Anthony Bradford (RG), Charles Cross (LT), and Jalen Sundell (C), who are all in the top 20 nationally at their respective positions, with Abraham Lucas (RT) and Grey Zabel (LG) rounding out the starting group. Individual Player Rankings (Mid-September 2025):
Anthony Bradford (RG): Ranked 9th in the NFL with a 84.3 PFF grade.
Charles Cross (LT): Ranked 10th in the NFL with a 83.7 PFF grade.
Jalen Sundell (C): Ranked 19th in the NFL with a 78.3 PFF grade.
Abraham Lucas (RT): Ranked 32nd in the NFL with a 75.9 PFF grade.
Grey Zabel (LG): Ranked 44th in the NFL with a 71.6 PFF grade.” Not saying Bradford is good or even top 10. But at same time I see him making multi player blocks, or he moves to second level and someone else didn’t make the line block and Walker is tackled even though AB made a hole. I’ve seen improvement. Definitely at this point not likely 2026 roster spot.
Note my quotes? Google AI. I didn’t make them up. And was, in parenthesis, mid-September since wasnt sure they captured TNF. Wiry that. My contention, do same of Sundell, Grey and even Cross and get bad plays. PFF grades change all the time.
Please read my multiple comments. Not saying it’s not. And we’ve noted the subjective nature of the ratings. But that’s wasn’t my point. I used it as example that can do same post about every one of the guys. Please recall after week 1 the massive outrage about Abe for his one bad play (more than one).
Yeah, I read your multiple comments. Doesn't change anything that I have to say. In fact, I said what I said BECAUSE of your multiple comments. Bradford is the 127th ranked OL by PFF for OFF, 102nd for RBLK, and 147th for PBLK. Not "top 10"? He doesn't even break the top 100 in any category. He is objectively bad and the rest of the offense is suffering because of him. He isn't a decent OL being singled out because of a few bad plays. He is the same shitty AB that he has been since he was drafted.
He isn’t top 10. Never said he was. I’ve also noted he makes downfield blocks. Grey and Sundell have had just as many bad blocks. Been on the ground. I never said AB was great and I even noted at this point he’s no longer on roster next year. All in my comments. Guessing JS made a really bad investment in Abe then too based on all of that info…
You are the one who quoted the source that said he was the 9th best OL in the NFL according to PFF. That has never been the case. If you don't want to get called out for bad sourcing, then don't quote bad sources.
AI is pretty useless if you don't know how to use it. Easy to get crap results. Always look at the source that it is drawing the information from and verify that source is both reliable and relevant. I highly question either the reliability or the relevance of the source the quote is using. I have PFF Premium and I'm not seeing those numbers at any point in 2025; for any of the linemen, not just Bradford.
I imagine some of this is due to the Seahawks not passing as much as last year. It's nice to have a better balanced scheme to take pressure off of the offense as a whole.
Some of it, yeah. Geno had 159 attempts at this point last season, while Darnold has 100. But not having Forsythe and Tomlinson on the team is a big bonus too.
Yes, plus Kubiak’s scheme is set up for quick options available to the QB, and real play action vs shot gun play action. Add roll out passing plays to alleviate pressure as well.
Do Cardinals games bring out a little offensive line related PTSD in Seahawks fans? I think the Cardinals are a very good NFL defence and that the Seahawks offence was unlucky to not score more on them. In other words the offence is functioning well enough to score in the high 20's most games and that will be enough to win most of those games. So if Bradford is the worst player on the offensive line then so be it. He is still good enough to win with.
This was supposed to be in reply to IdahoFred. On the record, trying to get one of our TE to gain 60 pounds and learn how to play guard is too big an ask. The only one who could go towards o-line direction is Nick Kallerup, and he's an undrafted rookie. If going from TE to O-line a transition to tackle makes more sense, but it's a multi-year conversion that isn't typically done at the NFL level.
He literally looks lost, like he has no idea what play has been called nor how to run it! Why can't JS make something happen? The 49ers did it for Trent Williams, and we all know how well that turned out. That tape is just horrid.
This is the QB school with JT O'Sullivan talking about Sam & you will need to go to the end to see Gray Zabel getting absolutely destroyed on the failed 4th down conversion attempt.
Point is, we could make videos like these for any one of our guys. In fact, you could probably make one for most lineman in the NFL.
A rule I like to live by is don't buy analysis when the video evidence was taken with a smart phone recording the television set.
This years version of our offensive line is still just as young and growing as they were at the beginning of the year when everyone was happy about their progress & vowed to be patient.
In my opinion the line is already head & shoulders ahead of last year & still getting better. The offense as a whole is also head & shoulders above last year.
We would not be 3-1 & looking like a fairly complete team if our right guard was ACTUALLY a dumpster fire on every down.
Yes it is, but it was also specifically created to highlight only bad plays and not record any good ones. The Hawks ran 69 offensive plays in that game & amassed 384 yards...and won by the way. IF they can do that with nothing but a revolving door at right guard, then Kubiak is more than a genius. He's a heavenly being.
I have a unique and unusual solution. Convert one of our tight ends to a guard. They play offense so the know the plays. Easy fix. Gotta be at least as good as Bradford and maybe better.
Bradford sucked as a rookie and he sucks now. Unfortunately, his bad play effects Sundell and Lucas, who are trying to help out on his man. I must admit that he is really good blocking thin air. I don't know if any of our other options could possibly be worse. Maybe the Hawks should have to over pay for a competent guard in a trade from a cellar dwelling team that's looking for help next year. I think we all now know that this can't continue. It's time we take the bull by the tail and face the situation!
I had high hopes that a healthy Abe, improved phisique, and stellar coaching would turn Bradford into a decent lineman. After 4 games, it's been disappointing.
I don’t think they will trade draft picks for an over-priced Veteran RG. Haynes, Cabeldue, Richmond, Jones and Sundell are the options I see for this year. I’m all for using one of our day two picks on an IOL. We can hopefully find someone with promise there that performs well. Plenty of of pro bowl guards have come from rounds 2 and higher (3,4,etc)
Doesn’t it seem like we have a serious talent evaluation issue at guard? I mean, Bradford, Tomlinson, Laumea, Haynes . . . sheez, is it that hard to find some NFL average talent?
OK, 1st round pick this year, seems like we got it right, but it feels more like a broken clock situation (still right twice a day). I could have made that pick and no one would call me a genius for it.
I'm not an OL expert by any stretch, but even I caught B getting smoked by Cards Dline, looking like he didn't even see the pressure slip by. If I'm picking this stuff out in real time on TV, it's not a good omen
On half of these I see him lunging with his head down and his feet stopped. On others he just doesn't seem to see the defender... which is weird. On the goal line play he starts out great with his feet moving with good leverage but slips off the block. Hard to fault him for that one.
The Hawks had about 60 plays on offense. That means he had 6 of 60 plays that were truly "what the hell are you doing" moments. Is 10% blown blocks high for an offensive lineman? I honestly don't know. I would guess 1 or 2 would be normal. Is it possible for a guy to go from 6 per game to 1 per game during the season? I also don't know if this game is an outlier for him this season either.
My condolences on having to sit through "Sex and the City". My girlfriend loves the show but she knows that watching that is a non-starter for me and I'll even sit through the Real Housewives BS for family time.
Mrs. Turtleman hate-watches that one with her girlfriends. I watched about half an episode with them, before finding something that needed done around the house to get myself away from it. I know it's not made for me, but when 40-50 year old women are watching it just to lampoon it; you know it's bad. And there aren't many shows bad enough that I would rather climb a ladder and clean out gutters. Really, it almost seemed like a parody of what I thought the show was going to be. Which was just menopause jokes and struggles with men, etc.. The writing was almost interestingly bad and the wardrobe was so over the top it felt like sketch comedy.
This is how men are with a lot of comedy podcasts now. They watch a show where they actually hate the hosts and then go to the comments to share with one another how much they hate everybody on the show.
Back in the day we called these shows ‘chick flicks.’ Or shows. I no longer use the term for the ladies in the audience. My comment is for information only and don’t necessarily represent the opinion of the author.
I really can’t speak to either show. I’ve seen short parts of Sex in the City when it was playing and I happened to be around. So I really have not idea if what I’m saying actually applies. It could be outstanding.
No, it’s really bad. My wife has watched 50 seasons of survivor and countless hours of football, so I am not opposed to watching a show that I don’t like sometimes.
is Sundell at RG and Olu at C a worse solution than Bradford at RG? If not I would roll with that unless we can swing a trade for a G.
The Campbell sack, your first video clip, was the only one of these I saw during the game. The rest of these are a blooper reel.

I watched some very athletic Big Boys play some damn fine OFFENSIVE LINE FOOTBALL tonight in the Penn State/Ducks contest.
Bradford has had enough time to be evaluated and trained up. He's either taking too long to get there or may never get there. I'm ready to move on. Now what are the options? Or, he is playing hurt and the depth is so bad that the OL coaches would rather go with Bradford at 75% than Cabeldue at 100%.
Unfortunately you might be right..

AI is wrong all the time. Bradford has never had that grade from PFF. His PRESEASON grade was 81, so not even that one.

This isn't accurate. Currently, the line has the following grades from PFF (OFF - RBLK - PBLK - Sacks, Hits, Hurries - Pressures):
Cross - 76.6 - 67.2 - 83.7 - 1,3,1 - 5
Lucas - 64.3 - 60.8 - 64.2 - 2,1,5 - 8
Zabel - 60.7 - 59.6 - 57.9 - 0,3,5 - 8
Sundell - 57.0 - 53.5 - 66.7 - 0,1,3 - 4
Bradford - 50.4 - 55.6 - 29.6 - 1,2,4 - 7
That looks more like it than the AI offering.
AI is pretty useless if you don't know how to use it. Easy to get crap results. Always look at the source that it is drawing the information from and verify that source is both reliable and relevant. I have PFF Premium and I'm not seeing those numbers at any point in 2025; for any of the linemen, not just Bradford.
The good news is that the Seahawks OL has cut pressures allowed (hurries, hits, sacks) in half from last year.
No doubt. Tomlinson and Forsythe were liabilities. Nice to see this addressed and some progress in the positive direction.
Yes, plus Kubiak’s scheme is set up for quick options available to the QB, and real play action vs shot gun play action. Add roll out passing plays to alleviate pressure as well.
Such a beautiful thing. Much better than the Grubb and shoot.

I agree, but there’s no doubt it could make it easier to win if RG play could be improved.
We need a 300 pound guard, at least. Which tight end would you lose? How much weight would they need to gain and how fast?
This was supposed to be in reply to IdahoFred. On the record, trying to get one of our TE to gain 60 pounds and learn how to play guard is too big an ask. All of our TE's are in the 250 - 255 range, so a lot of weight would need to be gained. Plus, they would need to learn interior OL technique.
He literally looks lost, like he has no idea what play has been called nor how to run it! Why can't JS make something happen? The 49ers did it for Trent Williams, and we all know how well that turned out. That tape is just horrid.
Well, if we are going to eviscerate our offensive linemen with no context social media snippets, here's one for you. https://youtu.be/8JBUTaEQc0I?si=9Sd-qIFvESpzHK-u

After watching the last few replays, I have a new nickname for A B. " Blew By You Bradford. ".
Blue Bayou Bradford. He went to LSU and he already has a theme song by Linda Rhonstad. Great name!!
On half of these I see him lunging with his head down and his feet stopped. On others he just doesn't seem to see the defender... which is weird. On the goal line play he starts out great with his feet moving with good leverage but slips off the block. Hard to fault him for that one.

Yeah I’ve noticed Lucas fall over and look bad. Maybe his reel would be a little hard to watch too.
I thought sex and the city would be written a lot better than this. I can’t believe there’s still so much left after the series ended.
I saw about 5 minutes of the latest version (And Just Like That) and it is completely unwatchable.
Mrs. Turtleman hate-watches that one with her girlfriends. I watched about half an episode with them, before finding something that needed done around the house to get myself away from it. Back in the day we called these shows ‘chick flicks.’ Or shows. I no longer use the term for the ladies in the audience. My comment is for information only and don’t necessarily represent the opinion of the author.
Girls, which is the same network and almost the exact same concept, is a hilarious show.
The show Girls had a huge problem in that Lena Dunham showed up naked in it way too often.
Give and take. A necessary part of all relationships.
I still use it, and don't find it an unfair moniker. My wife calls John Wick and such "shoot 'em ups" so I feel no need for kid gloves in this house.
I think it, but I don’t say it if someone’s around who might get their panties in a bunch. oops!
