I like DAVIS ,a 340# NT with SPEED , CROSS a pass protector with QUICKness or SAUCE a ball-hawking 6'3" CB( you cant coach speed ).AS for #2 and #3 an option thread in Fieldgulls I liked address them)
Why did you did this to us? You're right on all three counts, of course. However, now the odds of Pete/John doing one of those things has increased.
I'd like you to write a colum proposing this year's Bruce Irvin. Who is the player(s) Pete/John will feel compelled to draft while all the pundits whine they were over-drafted?
I was not following the draft the year they took Okung & Thomas, but I vaguely remember Thomas being a “reach” not sure how Okung was graded at that pick. That being caveated, if we know anything about the Seahawks it seems more than likely they will be selecting someone not being mentioned on many draft boards.
In 2010, Earl Thomas was viewed as a "steal" by most in the draft industry. He was viewed as a player who was neck and neck with Eric Berry. It would not have been that shocking to see the Chiefs select Earl Thomas and then the Seahawks would have possibly picked Eric Berry instead of Okung. What you may be remembering is that a lot of Seahawks fans wanted the team to draft Taylor Mays instead of Earl Thomas because Taylor Mays was local and connected to Pete Carroll at USC. Earl Thomas was viewed as a top-10 prospect and many were shocked Seattle got him at 14.
Alright, alright, alright! Your logic makes sense. I've always believed the Hawks would (once again) trade back from #9 to accumulate more picks. But I'm never correct and they zig when I Zag (painful wink there). I'm still probably ok, as long as they don't reach for either QB, RB, S or even WR. We've got too many holes to plug with young talent.
ridin' your wake son, you and Rob make too much sense...

Trading back sounds more and more plausible, which is something I've had to adjust to myself over the last week.
