20 and 29 are way too far to trade down from 9! They should be targeting 12-15 which should net an extra 2nd or high 3rd and 4th.

Take the Pittsburg offer. Twenty could be an interesting spot with plenty of quality guys.

The game is all about the trenches. If you have the number 15 offensive line and number 15 defensive line, you are going to make the playoffs and contend; if you have skill players around them. A team Russell Wilson would not want to be traded from. In two drafts and one more free agent class Seattle could do this. My one guy I would change this for is Sauce Gardner. Locking down one side of the field is a beautiful thing.

You seem to strongly perfer Raimann over Penning. Why? Penning would give them the attitude that Pete/John have been seeking. I'd also argue that Penning is in the same situation as Neal; there's good reason to believe he can be a LT but would be a beast at right tackle, but for a much lower cost. If you survey the roster it looks demonstrably worse at OT than edge. Unfortunately, I think Penning will be gone at 20.

Karlaftis is a bit of a key. Do they believe he's equal to the top four? How much better is Karlaftis than Mafe et al.? He will also be gone by 20.

Who, in the tweener land of pick 20, could they realistically pick without reaching? If Penning and Karlaftis are gone would they just trade down again? It's certainly possible.

Take Davis late 1st, a unblockable nose tackle in a 3 4 front 7 makes any edge much more productive.

Get Lucas LT., Deane LB.and Johnson Edge in 2nd ( 3rd 2nd rounder from trade down)

Corner in 3rd and rest is free for best player available. This is doable.

I'd rather have Travis Jones from Conneticut. He was their leader in QB pressures and he did it from the middle of the line. Someone who can collapse the pocket from the middle is the rarest of commodities. Davis is boom or run-stuffer so sorta-a-bust. He could be great but he hasn't shown the ability to pressure the QB in college.

I think most of us have put the cart ahead of the horse by making an Edge a higher priority than a game wrecking interior D lineman. Get a beast in the middle (remember the Tezmanian Devil , Cortez Kennedy) and every thing else falls into place. Just a random idea.

I remain convinced the Hawks trade down. However, it's not like they've ever done what I expect. I do think they grab at least two O-linemen and an Edge early. Given the significant dropoff in talent after the top CBs are gone, I'm not sure how much they'll value what's left unless it's somebody they really like or see as a project. No more Trey Flowers please!

Take the Chiefs offer. Bc in 2023 they’re going to need max draft capital to trade up for the QB they want.
