Seahawks must make another Geno Smith decision in 2025
What the Seahawks will and won't do with Geno Smith's contract, future of QB position in 2025: Seaside Joe 1900
Today is the 1,900th day in a row of Seaside Joe…
We started this ride on March 3, 2019 and for some people reading this right now that means you and I have talked about the Seattle Seahawks for 1,900 days in a row. I’m sure very few people, if any, can say that they’ve even talked to their closest family member about their favorite sports team for that many days in a row or en total. I guess that makes Seaside Joe like the Olive Garden of Seahawks content creators.
2024 prediction poll results
Last week, I posted these polls while my Internet was down to gauge NFC expectations for 2024. Here are the results:
NFC East winner: Eagles (72%), Cowboys (21%)
NFC North winner: Lions (74%), Packers (23%)
NFC South winner: Falcons (54%), Bucs (35%)
NFC West winner: 49ers (51%), Seahawks (31%), Rams (17%)
How many games will Seahawks win: 9-10 (57%), 11-12 (28%), 6-8 (15%)
Which “bad” team could make playoffs: Bears (39%), Cards (28%), Moons (20%)
If I played fast and loose with these results to determine the NFC playoffs, maybe we could see a field like this one:
Lions (13-4)
Eagles (12-5)
Falcons (11-6)
49ers (11-6)
Seahawks (10-7)
Bucs (10-7)
Bears (9-7-1)
This would mean no playoffs for Jordan Love, Dak Prescott, Matthew Stafford, Jayden Daniels, Bryce Young, Derek Carr, or Kyler Murray. That could send next year’s QB carousel into chaos with Prescott set to be a free agent and contracts and situations up in the air for Stafford, Love (should be extended soon), and Murray. Not to mention the precarious situations that could arise between now and then.
