It has been six months at sea, without being able to watch the Seahawks play, so I was ready to watch and stayed with it, even though this crew was not rowing together. It was tragic to think that several of these crew members are not going to be around when the ship finally lands in Ithaca/Seattle on Sep 9. I think JS is probably Odysseus because he's been on this journey for a long time.
Most teams don’t have a reliable second-string QB. You do want someone who could win you a game or two, or keep you in them at least. I don’t think Seattle has that right now. That’s what’s disconcerting. They kept Lock around because he’s barely serviceable. The fact that the Cowboys seem to have three guys behind Prescott in that position is also disconcerting. Maybe Lock is better than he looked, but he often seems just a half beat late with throws. Milroe? His mechanics are atrocious. Like he was never taught any of the basics. It reminds me a bit of Kapernick. The dude was a very talented athlete always trying to overcome a lifetime of bad habits.
I think Drew Lock is better than he looked last night. I wonder if the new O system is more complicated than we've been led to believe. Give these guys another month of practice, and we'll be steamrolling through the schedule.
I want all Seahawks, past, present, and future, to win every game they ever play. I want Steve Niehaus to beat his grandkids at Candyland. But I'm not in a grumpy mood because they lost a preseason game, I'm grumpy because they looked so bad while doing it. I expected a smoother flow and for the guys to know their assignments, but that's not what I saw. Hoping for a big improvement next week.
Sam has a lot of confidence in his arm. He has so much confidence that sometimes he makes throws he shouldn't. He does not have much insecurity that prevents him from making a throw.
Jalen does not seem to have much confidence in his arm. There are throws he should make but he seems too insecure in his arm. He is more confident in his legs and so he takes off when he should throw. Or that is how it appears this far into his career.
He's better than last year. But I never believed in him. He might make a decent RB or WR or gadget guy, but I'm not sure we want a gadget guy. I wish him luck, he seems to be a likable teammate.
I love preseason games. I also understand the stakes. Winning or losing doesn’t affect the team, but playing well or poorly affects careers. The play on the field matters. The scoreboard doesn’t.
Hmmm - while watching Milroe yesterday I kept thinking about how he must be modeling his play after Lamar Jackson. Frequently running the ball himself.
OT: Did everyone with Amazon Prime get their email notices that they are now being locked into a region and will be subjected to blackouts the networks currently use to force fans to paid streaming services?

Darnold vs Milroe.

Milroe isn’t credible as a gadget guy unless he’s a legit threat to pass more than five yards.
Anybody got a video of Bobby Hart lowlights? I wasn't paying much attention to the O line and I keep hearing about how incredibly bad he was.
AB probably has some video.
