now my head hurts bad. How in the world did you find all this info.

Wasting time I didn't have to waste.

A clever foil taken to the fullest extent is always more difficult than expected... =)

I'll save assigning rooms on the annual 'Hawks house roster to new jersey numbers *after* final cuts.

But thanks for the wild & wacky assortment of mnemonics.

Interesting 'Seaside' details floating amidst the collection of factual driftwood :

- Did you ever frequent the Whistle Stop...? Visit Jimi...?

- Graduated from Hazen, grew up near the future VMAC.

- Bluffside (Pedro/PV) for the "go" years, then a rural farm in Europa.

'Thought Bubble' : It will be interesting to observe how long the team waits before "retiring" #'s 3 & 54, given how many years Wilson & Wagner's careers both seem likely to continue. Especially the rebranded "Let's Ride" Russ (tm), if all goes well for the first year (or two) at Mile High.

Yeah, those numbers seem set in stone.

"Paul Newman starred in another movie as a reluctant hero: Cur Han Luke." (too much, in a fun way)

William Forsythe in "Once upon a Time In America".

Seaside Joe's avatar

I couldn't help myself with Curhan Luke.

This was very funny, Kenneth!!! I like Estridge, Freddie, Cross, and many others. Are u serious that you worked at a Casino? Well it’s legal to bet on football now. Surprised you haven’t covered that corner.

Seaside Joe's avatar

Yes, I worked at Freddie's in Renton and at whatever the one near LAX is called, now I can't remember. I'll need a mnemonic device for that too.

Love this!

Some people called DareKe Young the DK of D2. 99 (the largest available jersey number) - 14 (DK) - 2 (D2) = 83.

Cade Johnson has been compared to Tyler Locket, but it's not half of it (8), so he compensated adding another 8 to his jersey.

Seaside Joe's avatar

Haha. Those work too!

Sometimes insane is good. This is one of those times.

Beyond that I have two comments.

Exhibitionism? Saucy!

72 has to be my favorite. I’m a simple man and I like simple things.

Thomas Stewart's avatar

Dang it! screwed up my own comment. 79! 79 is my favorite!

Easily the most creative and well-researched article yet! My 1989 Diss Track now has 4 views. The highlight was the random Viking marauders. Looking forward to the 2nd half of the series!

Thank you, MT!

While I'm quite sure it's not the first time Charles Darwin has been used for comparisons to NFL football, I'm pretty sure never has he been used as a mnemonic device to remember jersey numbers. Kudos and next level shit Ken!

Thank you for reading!

Taylor Swift, Gilmore Girls, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Succession -- this one has got it all! I'm looking forward to the defensive numbers. Keep it up, KenJoe!!

Anything for a Clark stan!

Since this is really only half an article (gotta wait for the D),

Easy to remember now!

We're all set!
