Thanks for posting that video on JSN. I thought at the time I saw it that Geno had made it a difficult catch for JSN on that first third down throw, and the tape confirmed it. But also... that play should work ALL DAY LONG and it makes me wonder why the Seahawks did not run a version of it on 4th down? That play could easily go to either JSN or DK as well. If the corner opposite is on this outside shoulder, cutting off the line to the middle of the field will be good for 1-2 yards every time.
Thanks Kenneth!, As to my question, makes sense that we'll need more sample size. I'd also add that MM's defenses, unlike PC, will constantly be playing off of match ups they deem favorable more than having any team beat them of their fastball coverage. That being the case, then it's even more important to have an LB who can mentally engage the game as much as they attack it physically. Looking forward to it playing out. Saludos!
I’m asking re Tomlinson: is he is a good run blocker? If so, I’m wondering if the Hawks’ improved short passing and other possible offensive adjustments might mask his pass pro vulnerability. His durability and experience seem like they could build better overall OL chemistry. I’m looking anywhere for possible improvement.
I assume that the threat of Noah Fant in the passing game does something positive for the offense, even if he's not getting the ball, but I am looking forward to seeing if Brown makes a difference in the run game. I'd like to see how he does out there on 4th and 1 when Grubb calls a slow developing run play. Perhaps he doesn't get immediately pushed five yards into the backfield directly into the running lane like some other TE on the team. Or, maybe we just call a different play.
Baker got injured and Knight came in after that. He got beaten in some of those runs that were gashing us. Baker being out cost us significantly in the run defense, I think, but Knight wasn't awful. Just not consistent. I wish we had more depth at LBer but it is what it is.
Darrell Taylor had a whale of an opening game with 2 sacks, 7 solo tackles and a couple of assists. His 2nd game had only 1 tackle, but I didnt see any film of how he's played.
Travis Homer was the 2-minute back for the Bears, and played pretty well. He made some key protection blocks and had 1 carry for 6yds.
Bobby Wagner returns home again Sunday! He has had 19 total tackles (including assists) in 2 games for Miami, but I think he is coming off the field on some passing downs.
Sorry, crossed the streams.... Jordyn Brooks is playing for Miami. Wagz is with The Moons. Brooks has been unimpressive so far from what I've seen and read.
I believe one of the biggest problems was our two starting Lb's were out allot of the game. Which is why LB was one of my concerns going into the season. But MM has acknowledged as much (basically) and he will coach them up and I'm sure get better play out of them. At least let's hope so.

OJT.
That statistic of JSN being the first to get a 100 yards absolutely floored me.
