Delayed Connection: Now it is occuring to me that Christian Jones would have worked under Klint Kubiak in Minnesota. Seems Kubiak wants his own QB coach.
I hate to even say this, but Kirk Cousins being available if he's released -- for almost no money -- is going to be speculated if the Seahawks release or trade Geno.
Since you asked, I will attempt to reveal my true level of ignorance with film analysis of who we should be interested in drafting. SSJ has done yeoman work in bringing me up to holding a working knowledge on what constitutes 'good' play from 'bad'. What might work over what won't work. I much appreciate the video insertions trying impart a discerning eye. Educating the masses. Hey, it's the offseason.
I'm a big fan of 'comparative analysis'. How does Jaylon Noel vary his "speed and twitchiness" on the same play against a differing array of defenses? It is a question I ask myself while watching Mr. McConville's video analysis. I simply do not see "the burst of speed". In all the magical digital tech tools used now, is it possible to actually show me comparisons when (or if) the same play is run again on that day or even later games? Why an OC might call it up again, if at all?
After DK's first TD this year, Geno later described what triggered his focus on throwing to him, so I began looking. The Defense arrayed certain "quarters" I'd not heard before. Truth be told, I still don't know. Nobody better to ask than the folks here at SSJ.
Kirk Cousins is really not a solution. Low mobility and a greybeard. Will be very disappointed if he’s our Geno solution (which presumes Geno is a problem, a base premise I disagree with)
Love the idea of finding a WR in Rd 3 or Rd 4! My name was Xavier Restrepo if he lasts that long but Noel sounds like an option too, way cool!
Pro Bowl Games this year were so so so dull! Truly lifeless and completely lacking in fun factor. Praise be to Terry Crews, the man was trying to hype up and inject some energy and personallity to proceedings, but oof it was just so so so dull. We really are at a point now where the NFL obviously give's no sh*ts about the Pro Bowl, and the players don't either. Scrap it all at this point.
To pull something, anything, useful from it - the boring dead dull rubbish QB Challenge did at least provide a really really great way to see different QB's styles. The way Wilson arcs his throws compared to Darnolds whipped wrist, to Burrows long lever arm, to Bakers zipped release. If the Pro Bowl Games have to be anything, just make it more like this - a pure demonstration event where we can see the subtle but key diferences up close between the leagues "best" players.
If you've not watched any of the yet, save yourself the time and watch more All-22 content instead. The Williams video is again excellent, and he's the only NFL analysis channel i'm subbed to because each video is good and engaging and not up its own ass.
And whilst we're here, it's the time of year to drop by SDB. Personal issues aside, he does a really really good job covering a wide range of prospects. A good 'Hawks realted way to get up to speed in the run up to the draft so come April you'll be able to say "Ah yes, our 6th RD pick, he's good at X, needs to work on Y, and was the better choice over A-B-C alternatives".
Isn't Daniel Jones a more likely connected QB to coach Jones that may be in play to replace Geno for less $$. Not my fav choice. What do you think of DJ on a $20+M bridge to QOTF?
“Jones has always worked closely with the team’s quarterbacks, including Daniel Jones, Drew Lock, Tommy DeVito, Davis Webb, Tyrod Taylor, and Tim Boyle.”
Hey, it’s easy to coach Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. Anyone who can squeeze a few decent plays out of the above sad parade is worth talking to.

Thanks for the film study. Always appreciated.
