Here is a general comment. We were planning to go to the NFL draft. However, unlike Nashville, which we went to, the draft is NOT free. Nashville was a pile of fun on Broadway!!! The Seahawkers Fan Club was handing out wrist bands to anyone in Seahawks gear, wonderful!! However, Vegas is an entirelly different story. To attend the draft, you must purchase an event pass for the entire draft. Cost, $750!!!! Out of my wife's and my price range. Likely the hotels will have "bought" a large % of the tickets and will just comp them out. Last thing the NFL would want is a half full draft. So, we cancelled our flights and room.
I would love to get Sauce. Attitude like Sherman, I am good with this. However, OT Lucas is really a RT. I am ok with this pick, he should be a pretty good RT, however, what happens at LT? I think we all agree D Brown is likely gone and if not, he is only a one year stop gap player. I would like to see what Stone can do. Bit of a risk if D Brown leaves and Stone does not work out. Mafe, is likely a work in progress but the other two picks make Mafe at #41 ok.
They can't pick too many OTs at this point. Even if they come out of this draft with two (or more) round 1-2 guys that could play right tackle or move inside, but no true left tackle, that would be alright. At least one of these first three picks has got to become an anchor on their O-line for the next 4+ years. If no one a pick 9 makes you feel confident as a LT, then trade down or pick Gardner/best-DE-that-slid-too-far. I'm all for stocking up the trenches in the early rounds this year.
I think Duane Brown could make it two more years. He had a very good second half of the season. I think he struggled in the first 6 or 7 games as he missed all but the last two practices before the season started. Brown is very good, but Walter Jones is the only left tackle I know of who could miss every training camp, well a lot of them, and never miss a beat. I have asked a number of football savvy people, and not one, including Kenneth, thinks that Stone Temple Pilot could start next year. He needs to work his way in playing a game here and there. Also, he can get a lot of snaps at practice.
I really believe we need to give Stone a chance. This is the perfect year for us to see what he is all about. Lock could end up in the top 5 sacked QBs but he also can run for his life. He will have to do some of that if Stone becomes our starter. One year under his belt could make Stone a true starter in 2023. And come on, how can you not give a massive man like Stone a chance!!
Another LT for second round is Spencer Burford. Only 22. Again not a 1st year starter. Good run blocker, not so much as a pass protector. Bit of a conflict with Pete in that we will need a good blind side blocker to protect our 2023 franchise QB but also must be a high level run blocker since Pete is not about to change his ways.

Ok I just read that Peter King has Hawks passing on Kayvon Thibodeaux to take Derek Stingley in the 9 spot. Is that even remotely possible?
REALLY like this approach to the draft! Makes a lot of sense. Good job.
Travon Walker, Kyler Gordon, Bernhard Raimann...unless a trade down in 1st for Jordan Davis

I'd be happy with any of the approaches! I think hitting DE, OT, CB with your first three picks would be great.
For me, defense for my earliest pick would be ideal but that's just me. So your first two options posed appeal to me
