They can't pick too many OTs at this point. Even if they come out of this draft with two (or more) round 1-2 guys that could play right tackle or move inside, but no true left tackle, that would be alright. At least one of these first three picks has got to become an anchor on their O-line for the next 4+ years. If no one a pick 9 makes you feel confident as a LT, then trade down or pick Gardner/best-DE-that-slid-too-far. I'm all for stocking up the trenches in the early rounds this year.
I think Duane Brown could make it two more years. He had a very good second half of the season. I think he struggled in the first 6 or 7 games as he missed all but the last two practices before the season started. Brown is very good, but Walter Jones is the only left tackle I know of who could miss every training camp, well a lot of them, and never miss a beat. I have asked a number of football savvy people, and not one, including Kenneth, thinks that Stone Temple Pilot could start next year. He needs to work his way in playing a game here and there. Also, he can get a lot of snaps at practice.
I really believe we need to give Stone a chance. This is the perfect year for us to see what he is all about. Lock could end up in the top 5 sacked QBs but he also can run for his life. He will have to do some of that if Stone becomes our starter. One year under his belt could make Stone a true starter in 2023. And come on, how can you not give a massive man like Stone a chance!!
Another LT for second round is Spencer Burford. Only 22. Again not a 1st year starter. Good run blocker, not so much as a pass protector. Bit of a conflict with Pete in that we will need a good blind side blocker to protect our 2023 franchise QB but also must be a high level run blocker since Pete is not about to change his ways.
Here is a general comment. We were planning to go to the NFL draft. However, unlike Nashville, which we went to, the draft is NOT free. Nashville was a pile of fun on Broadway!!! The Seahawkers Fan Club was handing out wrist bands to anyone in Seahawks gear, wonderful!! However, Vegas is an entirelly different story. To attend the draft, you must purchase an event pass for the entire draft. Cost, $750!!!! Out of my wife's and my price range. Likely the hotels will have "bought" a large % of the tickets and will just comp them out. Last thing the NFL would want is a half full draft. So, we cancelled our flights and room.
It is nuts. Obviously Vegas is the City of Money. For us Calgarians, it would mean 2 x $750 US. Nearly $2000 CDN!! I can watch at home just fine thanks!!
As a Cabadian I know your kidding about $750 American being $2000 Canadian, but $750 With any countries name on the bank note is crazy expensive. For 3 years in a row my wife and I were spending 4 months during the winter in Thailand. She is Thai but I met her here. We have a nice house there on 3/4 ,of an acre. We are 20 minutes north of Chaing Mai. I live in Victoria and that house would be 6 times more expensive here. I pay $200 for the NFL game package which is seems.good value living in south east Asia. The pandemic has shut down our trip for 2 years, but we think it maybe OK this winter.
I take the Victoria Clipper a hydrophole ferry no cars when i got to a Hawks home game. Do you ever go to Seahawk home games what does a flight cost. I haven't been to a game live in 5 years for the reasons I pointed out.
Also I think the Seahawks could do more when it comes to mining talent from the CFL. The players are a couple years older but they have invaluable experience as professionals. Who cares if they only play for 3 or 4 years. We would have the whole league to ourselves as no other team pursues CFL players. Chris
I meant 2 x $750 being $2000 CDN!! We are charter seat season ticket holders. Under "normal" conditions we go to every home game. We put absolutely all our expenditures on our Alaska card so we wrack up LOTS of points. Most of our flights we use points. When we do pay, it is about $300 CDN per person, hour and 15 min. We probably only pay for about 2 trips a year.
That's great what a good deal. My Mum does the same thing, and was able to get a round trip ticket to Thailand in business class no less. I think Lock can be OK, he got a little gun shy and worried about ints. Once you start to worry you will throw picks. I have looked at a decent amount of tape on Lock. He can run the ball quite well. We seemed to move away from RPOs.over the last couple of years. If we do want to be a very good running tea. We need to use the QB. Maybe not to the extent as Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson but similar. Nice chat, back to the Masters. I have only seen one shot from Corey Connors. It was the 6th hole a par 3 240 yard, Corey hit it to one ft.
I am watching the Master's and the Long Beach indycar race. Watch, pause, switch channels etc. I am rooting for Rory. Where was today's game the last 3 days???
I would love to get Sauce. Attitude like Sherman, I am good with this. However, OT Lucas is really a RT. I am ok with this pick, he should be a pretty good RT, however, what happens at LT? I think we all agree D Brown is likely gone and if not, he is only a one year stop gap player. I would like to see what Stone can do. Bit of a risk if D Brown leaves and Stone does not work out. Mafe, is likely a work in progress but the other two picks make Mafe at #41 ok.

I'd be happy with any of the approaches! I think hitting DE, OT, CB with your first three picks would be great.
For me, defense for my earliest pick would be ideal but that's just me. So your first two options posed appeal to me
Ok I just read that Peter King has Hawks passing on Kayvon Thibodeaux to take Derek Stingley in the 9 spot. Is that even remotely possible?
Ronald... NO! It is not. Peter King, the draft analyst, is not something I've ever said before.
Whew! That's a scary thought!! Thanks for responding.

REALLY like this approach to the draft! Makes a lot of sense. Good job.

Travon Walker, Kyler Gordon, Bernhard Raimann...unless a trade down in 1st for Jordan Davis

That's insane. Who can afford that?
It is nuts. Obviously Vegas is the City of Money. For us Calgarians, it would mean 2 x $750 US. Nearly $2000 CDN!! I can watch at home just fine thanks!!

See any LTs in the second round range?
Second round. How about Vederian Lowe. Played in run heavy offense. Is a MEAN dude. Not a first year starter.
