Kkkkk ok I'll explain the name. Grew up in Brazil and people struggled with my real name, so they just called me Zezinho the equivalent of Joey. Started using this handle in my very first venture into forums, which was a small group of guys who owned or loved the Noble M400, a quirky but ridiculously quick British sports car. I bought one, joined the forum, hence zezinhom400.

Odds are I'm your only subscriber who a) lives in Brazil (Brasil to us) and b) owned a Noble M400

The titanium one was mine, parked outside my home when I lived in Omaha NE

First Ken thanks a lot for your passionate work, love how this community lives.

As i am also a german Soccer Fan i got so used to always see the same Team win Championships that i love the system of the big sport leagues in the US. Cap Space and Draft Positions do so much for every Team to have a Chance to stay competitive.

My Favourite Soccer Team is Karlsruher SC, and as i Fan i went through playing in the 1st League, going down to the 2nd, almost getting up again just to see the Team breaking and going down to the 3rd League. So losing is in the DNA of some Clubs here. For me personally i think that's what makes sports so interesting because small Clubs of Clubs who are seen to be much worse can upset the big ones and some years there is a small Club who just wins in K.O. games and Fanbase has something to talk about for years.

What this all has to do with the Hawks... in my Opinion this is the moste exciting Situation since the SB loss because i had the feeling that it was just getting worse since then. We all knew what they were capable of but they always fell because of mistakes and honestly it was so frustrating.

This year is different: i know that there are a lot better Teams, i know that there will be mistakes, but i also know that there are a lot unknowns and i am excited to see them build a Team out of that.

As a Draft Nerd i also love being in a position like 2023 and i can't wait to follow the College Season.

Personally i still love Defense and Running Game so maybe i will have some nice plays to watch from the Seahawks.

Long story short: Losing is part of the Business and if it gets to shabby i just watch how Teams like the Browns sell there soul and still don't get there Rings and then i am happy again that we have PCJS and stay true to what the Hawks as a Team want to be. Only thing i can't believe is what happened with Legends like Bobby to get released without knowing it and i hope this won't stay business as usual in Seattle.

Cheers and greetings from Germany you SJ-Fellas <3

If the team that ends the season is better than the team that opens it, I’ll be happy regardless of the record. I’ll look forward to watching replays with blocking from Cross and Lucas—by 2024, they may well be the best tackle tandem in the league. I’ll keep an eye on Woolen’s development—is he the shutdown CB we’ve been waiting for since Sherman’s heyday? And while my expectations of the pass rush are tempered, I expect Taylor, Mafe, Nessus, and Robinson to show enough that PCJS will wonder how productive they would be with a stud duck* pass rusher. All in all, I’ll like this season if I come away from it thinking that the team is one good draft and free agent class away from being a force.

*Thanks, Lyndon Johnson

I can handle it. I'm a University of New Mexico grad. Try handling that year after year.

The only truly "bad" seasons are where a promising season is derailed by freak injuries to key players. Beyond that--it's football! I am a "ride or die" guy when it comes to Pete, and I find it incredibly interesting to see how he makes/remakes the team and gets the best out of what he has got to work with.

With respect to tackling--no Jordon Brooks accounts for a lot of what we saw in the preseason and it goes beyond Brooks' own tackling prowess: he is the guy making sure everyone is on their spot and communicating the defense. The Seahawks need more ILB help for Brooks beyond what they have.

Best case for the O? I can't help being more optimistic than the facts warrant at times. If the run game gets going and is as explosive as it was in the last 6 games of 2021, I can see 2022 being a better PPG year than 2021. If that is combined with some improvement in the D... the Seahawks will not finish last in the NFCW and may challenge for a playoff spot. BUT so much hinges on how well the OL comes together. Assuming health, the line will be playing much better in the 2nd half of the season than the first half.

All great comments from an intelligent group. The tackling issue will not be a problem until injuries set in. At that point we have to hope those replacements have the mind set of wanting to be good not average NFL players.

Geno was and is boring, I will say they did not show anything exotic just the basics. I want to see our tightends make a 1000 yards all three combined.

From the I thought I heard that and did. I made mention of this during OTAs, we brought in Marquise Goodwin to show the guys how to practice. Pete was telling us he wouldn't make the team. A bit of a raw deal but understandable. Pete went to great lengths yesterday to say how important playing the game is to Goodwin. Let's hope he hooks up with a contender that's where he belongs.

I hope the ceiling on the offense is better than the 2021 Lions. It was a very very bad offense by DVOA: 29th in the league. Bottom 3 for those who like things in reverse.

I think the ceiling could be a unit that's ranked as high as 10th in DVOA. By your own estimation, it wouldn't be crazy for Geno to be a top 20 QB this year. Let's say he does rather well for himself and looks average instead of mediocre: a slight exceeding of expectations but nothing crazy. Let's also say the rushing attack looks dominant behind a healthy Penny who's recreating his tour of destruction from the end of last year and KW3 who is everything you said he is and more. That offense could easily be a net positive by DVOA, and could therefore be anywhere in the 10-15 range by rank.

I think this season will be a work in progress as was 10-11. You've got a lot of youth on this roster including stars like Metcalf and Brooks. So what can you expect in 2022? Probably a team with a lot of new players defining itself and finding an identity. How do you build a team. QB is one spot but so are both lines. Seattle has made great strides this year on both. The O-line by adding Tackles with other than Brown has been a crap shoot for many years. The D-line with Adams, Jefferson, Harris and retaining Woods, Ford and Mone. Adding to the secondary with some talent that could be something to write about as early as the end of this season. The secondary has real potential this year.

The running game looks promising.

The truth be known Seattle is in the rebuilding stage so a 500 season would be great. Seattle's overall identity I think really surfaces next year with all of the Wilson draft capital, the Adams draft bleed ends and Seattle again is drafting in the top 15. So what am I looking for in 2022. Chemistry. How do the new 33% fit with the sprinkling of stars and the vets. Seattle is really building from the ground up with both personnel and coaching. This is going to be a process and sometimes it can be frustrating and other times exciting to see "team" develop and start to get it. This is the year when you need to view the glass half full and not expect to much or too little. So far I like the changes that were made. Next year even with a new QB drafted it's going to take another year for them to develop and even that is not guaranteed. Let's enjoy the process and the surprises I think we'll see in 22. When you're rated at the bottom of the league the bar is pretty low for improvement. Remember the NFL...not for long. We've been pretty fortunate in the NW and still have some interesting possibilities over the next 2 years. Even if the bandwagon leaves, I won't be on it. After 46 years and a myriad of emotions; I'm still all in.

McCall sure has beautiful stats and tremendous leadership...he looks a little undersized and not very well muscled. Is there any concern on your part that he simply does not have an NFL arm or physicality? - at first glance, he is not unlike Kellen Moore out of Boise State and now in coaching?

I don't think we'll lose too many so it's not a problem.

But more seriously, I doubt we'll be 2-14. And I'm old enough to have been through that. I don't mind losses as much as being useless and hopeless, and while even I think we'll probably lose more than win this season, as long as there is fight it will be good.

If you don't expect too much then life can still be fun - the despair I can handle, it's the hope that kills ya..

Not really on topic, but just saw the practice squad and the Coleman re-signing and once again came away SUPER impressed with Schneider's offseason. Did he miss on anyone?? Perhaps every other team was equally efficient, I only follow this one, but jeez he seems to have recovered everyone he wanted.
