I'll trust Mike knows how to shore up his Defense against the run and that starts with his LBs. Who better to measure this move than McCaffrey this weekend? Expect to see MM at his best in hiding what Knight's duties are on every play. Get angry, young man, and turn that anger into exceptional energy. Does Kick-Ass finally arrive in Seattle? HooAh. Welcome back, Chenna. Abe. It's Joy time.

If we had kept Jordyn Brooks, we'd have a decent lb corps right now.

I expect there are some other spots they'd like to shake up, but don't have anyone who they feel could do better right now. If Abe is back at RT (yay!) and back to his old self (tbd) that's a significant improvement at one position on the o-line. Of course, we still have issues from LG to RG, but not sure there are better short term options there.

The Seahawks have a very tough remaining schedule. I think winning 4 of the 8 remaining would be impressive given where they're at. Winning 5 or more would be a surprise, to me. Winning 3 or less wouldn't shock me in the least, and is probably in the best long term interest of the franchise, although they aren't going to purposely lose. That's not something you want in the DNA.

I'm very curious what we'll see against the 9'ers this week. I'd love to see a very competitive, hard hitting game, especially from the defense. I think the offense will be tough to fix with this o-line, so not expecting fireworks there.

I'm a bit surprised at the over-reaction to being 4-5 from the fans. I don't think that would have surprised too many people 3 months ago, or at least, it shouldn't have. Patience folks.

It tells me the coach wasn't happy with his performance, and rather than sit him, he wants to cut him. I doubt JS would do this without MM telling him, Dodson was part of the problem, and not part of the solution.

My two cents: they need to bench Bradford; he is single-handedly losing games for the Hawks.

I like the move. Despite what’s HOPED at the beginning of the season, this isn’t about the playoffs. It’s about getting the right people. And those that see it as JS screwing up, to me it’s a matter of how MM wants the team to play. Schneider hadn’t worked with MM as coach, and some of the first round of signings aren’t meshing with the coach. Time to move on.

Are you kidding?? How does a screw up like this happen?? Does the owner have an evaluator for the GM?

Perhaps it’s not a screw up? Not a good fit for coach. I’d rather they start a young guy than hold on dead weight.

If he didn't fit the teams criteria then it was time to find someone who does. This is a rebuilding year, like it or not. They need to find out who to keep for next season and what the young guys can do. Look at what they found last game in White. Buckle up for more changes to come. If they lose to the 49ers, we might see more of Howell.

I don't see Geno as the issue ,but finding out what you have in Howell if things continue like they are wouldn't be a bad idea. Along those lines how about we find out what Sundell, Olu and Sataoa can do at guard! What do they have to lose, again if things continue along the same lines.

I keep wondering if Williams, who seems to have a bad case of the yips in shotgun, might do better at one of the guard spots, and let one or both of the young guys try at center. My guess is he's an upgrade at guard, and it might be easier for Olu if he trusted at least one of the guys next to him. But I know nothing, as always.

I truly believe CW will settle in. He was the fourth best rated center in the NFL last year before his injury. I believe he will continue to get better and improve as the season progresses. Just would be nice if he had some competent guards along side him.

No problem. Play the kids. Let Knight get the reps and make the rookie mistakes now.

Not so far. They signed Jobe just now to the regular squad. He was out of practice squad designations...

Whenever I watched someone breaking down defensive film of pisspoor run defence, Dotson seemed to be getting washed out the play or sitting his arse on the floor. Small sample size, but noticeable.

If the rookies he drafted can’t beat out any of the veteran filler that Schneider signed, that’s a double indictment.

I don't think we need to worry about where John thinks the team is at right now. He seems to be taking a realistic view of the season, where we're headed, and what we need to learn to help us along the way. It sucks to make mistakes in free agency, but at least he's not too proud/stubborn to own it. I'm not sure Pete would have allowed this kind of move. I'm assuming we get to see more Knight now, and I'm here for it.
