I think the Hawks will ad at least 2 vet LBs ( Cunningham) and a speed WR. behind Bobo before the season starts. Unfortunately, injuries upset " the best laid plans of mice and men."Robert Burns was a football coach/ poet!

It does feel like there is a need there. The reserves listed are not inspiring. ST but not NfL starters. Wouldn’t mind a Cunningham even if he’s a backup.

- Initial thoughts on the roster? What stood out to you the most when perusing the names and positions?

- Took Clark to get a haircut today. They gave him a bowtie too, he's looking sharp.

- Which player from last season who isn't here this year is leaving the biggest shoes to fill? Wagner? Lewis? Brooks? Lock?

Roster thoughts: I just hope that whoever gets picked, they can all bring it together quickly and we have an historic year.

Maybe you can include a pic of Clark with said bow tie? Sounds very yapper, oh, I mean dapper.

Shoes to fill: has to be Lock doesn’t it? If something happens to Geno (god forbid) I trusted Lock could handle it (& he did). Not really sure about our backups at the moment.

Not missing Lewis. Will be BWagz but we do know his skills are declining. Not shocking and you did address it though, no FB. I do agree that we’re looking at 3 at least TEs because Brown/Barner will be on the field more than WR 4. Wish we had a John L type. Stiff arming, power blocker type.

Pretty sure Dre'Mont Jones is an edge, based on what I've read. He'll move around a bit it sounds like, but home is edge. He's lost weight to play there.

I think Haynes will be the RG, but you can put anyone in there for now. Once the pads go on......

I don't think there are ANY big shoes to fill on a pitiful defense. As excited as people are for our D-line depth, my one niggling thing is that Reed and Williams were both playing when we couldn't stop anyone. I know we've added Murphy and Hankins, which might help. And of course, Mike Mac's defense. I'll believe the run defense when I see it.

I'm not getting attached to many current players....I think most will be churned and burned 3 seasons or less from now. I can't wait to see how this team transitions into its new era.... SOOOO FREAKIN' PUMPED!!!!! This roster looks great in areas, thin in others and overall kinda good but with so much unproven talent. Can't wait to see in-game changes and overall scheme from new coaches, gonna be sweet.

I would like to just not worry about center for the first time since 2015.

If Olu doesn’t win the starting job decisively I think the OL may be in trouble.

Seaside Joe is closing in on 2,000 articles consecutively for over five years. Guinness Book of World Records? I don’t know but Joe is beloved here at the seaside. Awesome oceans of words, waves of paragraphs, cool punctuated tides and a great world of Seasiders!

Congratulations!!

May the 12s be with you and Go Seahawks.

Cal Ripken and Lou Gehrig are consecutive games played. It was 1964 when Jim Marshall ran the wrong way. Sorry my editor quit on me. Lol

I read the WR competition as migrainistical and I think I prefer it that way lol. The top 4 are definitely set with Bobo in the WR4 slot… for now.

An early bet I would make if I made bets which I don’t: neither Dee nor Laviska makes the 53 out of camp and the KR/PR is someone else entirely.

The DL/DT vs OLB/Edge choice is a hard one to make until we see Murphy on the field. Right now the experience is on the Edge/OLB side but the front 7 should be the most improved part of the Seahawks this year.

* Walker and Charbonnet will have an equal number of touches if (1) Walker gets hurt and/or (2) Walker regresses.

* The distribution of targets among Lockett, Metcalf, JSN, and Fant will be interesting.

* Accepting that the two rookie CBs are unknown, the dropoff in CB talent after Witherspoon and Woolen is significant. A fair amount of depth there, but I can’t see any of the others pushing Woolen, which is too bad.

I can see disproportionate touches for Charb and Walker, depending on what the O-Line is doing best that day. One can bang open tight gaps while the other can turn on a dime if things aren't going as planned. Until I see a back-up with Walker's skills, I would favor Charbs getting more carries in bump-and-bang games. Minimize injury. Macintosh struck me as a solid back-up for Charb, but it remains to be seen. Now we have a late-comer in Haliani. Why bring him in?

Charbs to get more touches as he emerges as the primary RB (note: I'm not saying he's RB1). He is to me much more of a 3-down back than Walker, with KW best used in motion or away from the I lineup. That will just see him take less touches, but I think keep a high hit rate for Yards and TDs.

I love OLine, pumped to see that battle. I think the options are good and the upgrade to the staff will bare fruit just fine.

CB battle will be fun. It was Pete's speciality, will the new staff be able to turn those late day picks into stars? Get Riq back on track? That's the one to watch for me coming into camp.

I think OL chemistry is as important as DL. Not immediately agreeing that “any five good players” will be fine, especially considering the lack of stars. I want to know who really gels together and then I pray for their health.

Lofa's recent suggestion is great @ LB! I see The rook or McLendon @ RG to start- I truly hope they hold on to Satoao for he will be a Stud , I am almost guarantying that- He has what it takes to be that guy!!!

I think we nee to add a proven Gayrd Law n right side and another proven edge of. Defense. Also would to see a DK plus a 7th rounder offered for Ayuk and then extend him. He is two years younger then DK and everyvit as good maybe better but doubt niners would deal him to us just a thought.
