Seattle needs a camp arm and probably someone to have on the PS Roster. Walker at least has some actual game expereince in the NFL. He is an insurance flyer at best.
Walker can play...should be interesting to see how he assimilates. Geno is gonna be unfazed by Walker signing. I bet Kenneth Walker is more likely to face changes...may have to add a 'K' to his Jersey to make it 'K Walker' vs 'P Walker', but Geno ain't sweating at all. I think Sam Howell might be concerned but he probably shouldn't be. Being younger and cheap likely gets him on the squad. But what do I know, I didn't think the Seahawks would draft 2 guards, when they potentially drafted 3. Emergency QB is still a thing, right? Good to have camp arms, but if the emergency QB is still in effect we need one that knows the system and can play to a high level so it makes some sense to get them in early and not just wait for camp castaways as this would shorten the time to learn and get up to speed.
No more light practices. Full pads/tackling. Be aggressive at all positions. Find Attitude. Injuries will happen, especially at QB, so give Geno some slack when tempers flare.
I'm not sure why, but when I was using the website to research these numbers I could have sworn that one of the team names next to Kordell Stewart was "CLE" and I just figured that he had a short stint with the Browns that we all forgot. But Kordell Stewart never played for the Browns, not sure how that got in there.
"Howell enters year three in the NFL with two more seasons under contract at a cheap rookie wage under $1.5 million per season." Even if Sam Howell doesn't get this full amount if'n he's cut soon he still will get a livable amount. Assume that he's more than happy to be with the Hawks for now.
We all knew a camp arm was to be brought in to take some reps. So why not make it a little competitive. It makes everyone better. I do like the Seneca comp. Thanks for the info SJ and please let your wife know that we appreciate her support for you and even for us :)
JS has liked Howell for awhile, so I see this as a look see and a camp arm that may stay on the practice squad.

They need an arm. PJ Walker coincidentally has an arm. That's about all you can take away from this move. Someone has to play in the pre-season games.

Ah, so we're getting ready to trade away Geno by bringing in Howells back-up! Smart moves by JS Here, fully supportive of it.
The Cleveland QB history review made me chuckle. Thanks for that, Kenneth.

I will!
Poor Howell last year. He had to do some duck walking and “moon”walking last year. Quack, quack.🦆
