I own a DVD of the film, "The Mystery of Picasso," in which the great painter sits before glass panels and...paints. He has superlative line control at this stage in his career, so the first brush stroke might be a mountain, the second makes it a bird, the third a bull. And he's painting for the camera on the other side of the glass. (My wife hates this film. I've seen it three or four times.) Point being, that's what JS is doing and we have no way of knowing what the final picture will be. Sometimes Picasso simply paints over and starts again. (We've had a couple of those seasons, right?)

My sense from what's been accomplished (word chosen on purpose) in free agency is that he is now free to draft BPA. My expectation is that he will be able to move around some, to accumulate some additional picks on day three, because there are weirdly interesting players there who, at a minimum (see: the LB Gentry) could be special team demons. I'm not worried about position. I'm worried about finding (as MSDugar said today) at least one contributing starter, and one difference-maker on defense, another piece like Emmanwari, though I know he's a unicorn. I look forward to the draft and watching the master draw the next line on his canvas.

(Picasso's glass pieces were destroyed after filming.)
